Title Banter

Fayelons are an alien race of magical beings from another galaxy, or another realm as they would always say. They consist of unique magical abilities that they can utilize with the use of magical energy that is naturally generated from their bodies. Each are from different worlds and can master unique powers from each of their different homes. Many of them can control the natural elements and can use them for many different things.

The females can produce a massive amount of magical energy while the males produce very small amounts. The females can utilize many different kinds of magical abilities, however there are some conditions to this. They are able to take on more than one form, with one in which they can use the maximum amount of their powers. In their original forms, they are limited to a certain amount, which is known as their Dormant Forms. The forms that they take on to access more of their magical abilities are known as their Metamorphose Forms. They are able to do that with the use of magical items that they have forged with the use of their magic powers. They are used to store away a massive amount of their own magic energy, but upon release, they are able to change forms and utilize a lot of their powers. They can also generate a pair of wings similar to fairy wings which gives them the ability to fly. They can retract their wings whenever they want and they sometimes choose to retract them as keeping them out can use up a good amount of their magical energy.

Biology[]

Fayelons have a physical appearances that are similar to humans. They have the same body structure which include skin tone similar to humans, 5 digits, can grow hair on their heads and the like. However, one major difference in appearances in humans are the shapes of their eyes. Their eyes are much larger than humans in what are best describe as "anime eyes". They also develop the ability to change the shape of their eyes in many different ways that are very similar to anime facial expressions, a method created by anime and manga animators as a means to overemphasize the emotions of their characters. To put it simply, Fayelons would best be described as "live-action anime characters", from their magical transformations to their overly exaggerated facial expressions.

Another difference between them and humans are the ability to produce energy from within their bodies that are best described as magical energy. This enables them to carry out many different kinds of "magical abilities" such as undergoing elemental abilities. The females are their kinds are said to produce more magical energy than the males. The females are known to be heavily depended on their magical abilities and rarely carry out any tasks without the use of their powers. However, they are able to do so and some choose to complete some task without the use of their powers.

The males, on the otherhand, being that they do not produce a lot of magical energy, have learned to undergo manual labor with the use of some of their magic as assistance. With some training, however, they can produce more energy and are able to carry out more tasks with the use of their energy. Some resort to heroic obligations, developing a mastery over weaponry and the like. Some even develop ranks that are similar to mages and advisors. But very rarely do any male become as susceptable as females. However, as males develop expertise in manual labor, they are able to complete a lot without the use of magic, which would arguably make them more susceptable than females who would depend on their magical abilities too much for even the simpliest tasks that wouldn't need to be done by magic.

It is unknown as to why the females can produce more magical energy than the males, but it is rumored that this is involves their deity, the Divine Source, being known as the Mother of all Life in the Universe by the Fayelons, it could be that she had granted the females with more magical energy than the males. The females also display similar characteristics to fairies, with having a lot of fairy-like qualities when in their Metamorphose form. But that has yet to truly be the case. Regardless, both have shown to play significant roles in their society in different way. Males and females can carry out tasks that both are capable of. Males would often play a secondhand role as the females and the same would apply for reverse roles.

Metamorphose[]

The females of this race can take on a secondary form that they have called Metamorphose. It's when they can change their appearance as well as gain access to more of their own magical powers. When they change into this form, their hair can change colors as well as take on a secondary style. They are also able to change their outfits that take on forms based on their magical powers, personalities and even origins. They can also materialize fairy-like wings that they can retract and materialize whenever they want. These forms that they take are similar to magical girl transformations. A female can choose to undergo the lessons needed to master this form as it is an option, but when they do, they can become capable fighters.

Culture[]

Their culture relies very heavily on their magical abilities. They are highly dependent on a lifestyle of learning and understanding each of their different powers. Their education system is also based off of learning and understanding their powers. That as well as educating the younger generation of how to utilize their powers only if they wish.

Each Fayelon that can control an elemental abilities consist of different cultures. For example, the pyromancers took on a culture of innerpiece and self-awareness. This is because many fear them for their elemental abilities, to which the pyromancers have also become fearful of their own powers. Through these exercises, they have maintain a lifestyle of balance and tranquility. They have also been able to learn how to utilize other abilities because of their exercises.

Aeromancers tend to live amongst the sky and have taking on a liking to aerial sports. They are also less proned to being afraid of heights. Aquamancers live close to large bodies of water like the ocean. They have taken on a tradition of bringing the younger of their kind to the water's edge in order for them to experience and get in touch with the element that they must learn how to control. Geomancers live on rocky terrains as a means of being able to remain intouch with the massive rocks that they are able to control. Some Geomancers consist of another special power that is more sacred than simply controling plain rocks. The geomancers that can utilize this special power are known as Gemma Kinetics, to which are the most unique of their kind. Gemma Kinetics can forge jewels by solidifying the magical energy from their bodies. Their jewels are capable of many different kinds of magical abilities, such as storing memories that can be transferred to others by them touching it. It is a special kind of magic that some geomancers can use. If they contain such a magical energy can do so, they can. Someone can be born with even the smallest amount of that magical energy and they can still learn to use that technique. Some can also choose to turn it down but if they do, the magical energy will discipate to the point where it is gone and they can never get it back. But if they choose to learn how to utilize it, even the smallest trace of it can grow overtime and become truly potent.

Other elements are included amongst this race.

There education system also revolves around their magical abilities. At a young age, Fayelons are taught the basics of their magical powers. Both males and females can be taught how to ulitize powers of their elemental origins. They are to continue this education programs amongs the peers of the same type of powers. Fayelons can mingle with others that have different elemental abilities which is highly encouraged by their system as a means to maintain peace amongst the different elementals. Males can also learn how to utilize these magical abilities but they won't be as affective as females.

But upon reaching their tenth year, having mastered the basics of their own elemental powers, they must attend the academy amongst Fayelons of other magical abilities. Males and females attend different academies from one another since females can produce more magical energy than males. As they attend the academy, the females are to learn more advanced forms of their powers as well as shared abilities amongst each other. One such abilities is undertaking the Metamorphose. It's when they are to change forms in order to gain access to and utilize more of their magical powers, powers which are to develop upon completing the mastering of their basic elemental abilities.

The Fayelon Academy consists of a dress-code, with the girls' uniforms being a white, sleeveless shirt, a skirt with the color of the girls' origin. For example, geomancers' skirts are green, aquamancers' skirts are blue and pyromancers' skirts are red. Their footwear consists of white socks and dark brown shoes. Each girl wears a butterfly-shaped brooch with a centerpiece that can change color based on the girl's year in class. The different colors are as follows:

  • Year 1 at age 10-green
  • Year 2 at age 11-light blue
  • Year 3 at age 12-dark blue
  • Year 4 at age 13-purple
  • Year 5 at age 14-pink
  • Year 6 at age 15-red
  • Year 7 at age 16-orange
  • Year 8 at age 17, the final year-yellow

During graduation of the academy, a representative of the Divine Source activates the brooch, causing it to flash all 8 of the different colors at once, then the brooch will fly above the girl and pop, releasing the blessed energy of the Divine Source, officially granting the graduate the title of Fayelon Guardian.

Economy[]

The Fayelons live off of an economy that obviously revolves around the magical properties of their entire world. They consist of a bartering system in which they have small orbs called Gleems that can materialize whatever they want. It works similar to money, except that instead of being traded away, it's used up. Gleems are often granted to Fayelons who have earned them through contributing to their society by helping out through devoted labor or other means. Fayelons can also choose to bestow their Gleems on others, but it is often more favorable to bestow them upon those who have completed helpful tasks to the bestower, which is also favorable to the receivers.

Religion[]

The Fayelons worship a deity that they believe is the creation of all life in the Universe. The deity is known to them as the Divine Source, the Divine Bringer of all Light in the Universe as well as the Mother of all Life within it. They believe in themselves that they were tasked by the Divine Source as protectors of the Universe. However, not all Fayelons need to take on that task, but some choose to. They believe that their deity does not want all Fayelons to take on this task, but would be happy if some of them did choose to.

Their religion consists of an idealistic system to which a Fayelon can live a life that truly and genuinely makes them happy. They also believe that such a lifestyle is what would make their deity happy as she values the happiness of those that worship her as much as the protection of the Universe.

Language[]

The Fayelons don't so much have a language of their own as they are able to communicate in a way that only magical beings are able to understand. It is believed that Fayelons can moreso communicate their emotions with one another in a way that is best described by non-magical beings as a form of telepathy, if only feelings and emotions can be transferred from one another in the same fashion. It is something that is still difficult to understand. However, they have learned how to communicate the same way that non-magical beings have and have adapted words and phrases that are translated from their complicated forms of communications the best that they could.

Some words and phrases don't translate exactly like how they are phrased in other languages. For example, the human term "galaxy", for some reason, does not exist or translate, so their term for said word is "realm", perhaps because said term was used for said objects. It is unknown if there are other objects that share the same characteristics.

There are also some objects that have never been seen or known by anyone other than Fayelons, such as unique plants and fauna or other kinds of living things, but overtime, the Fayelons have found ways to label them in the non-magical being languages. It is also confirmed that Fayelons are able to learn the languages of non-magical beings instantaneously by standing within the presence of them, such is their special ability, a gift granted by their deity, the Divine Source.

Their terms, as "translated" into english, are as follows:

Divine Source-The deity worshipped by the Fayelons. It is believe that the Devine Source is "the mother of all life in the Universe". The Divine Source is addressed as a she.

Disciples of Order-The major governing force of the Fayelons' worlds. They are said to answer to the Divine Source, the only being that is higher than them in the chain of command.

Realm-The Fayelons' term for galaxy. The term "galaxy" does not translate direct for some reason. Most likely there is no way to translate said term.

Gemma Kinetic-A special type of Geomancer that can utilize the special magical ability to forge magical jewelry. This special power consists of incredible abilities that can never be carried out by regular Geomancers as well as other kinds of magic wielders. It's so special and unique that it consists of its own form of magical energy and those with even the tiniest trace of that energy can learn how to use it. It can fade away from underuse and when it does, it can never be recovered.

Metamorphose-A special kind of magical metamorphosis that can be learned and carried out by only the females. This is best described by the non-magical being as a magical girl transformation. This enables the females to change into another form that would enable them to utilize their powers for combat. Fayelons with the ability to undergo this are known to be the strongest of their kind. They can also materialize and retract fairy-like wings at will. However, to materialize them on the ground takes some advanced training while materializing them while in midair is easier.

rotation cycle-a day

sol cycle-a year. The Fayelons base their "years" on the orbital cycle on their main world. All Fayelons come from different worlds in the same Star System, but the years are never based off of the other worlds, just the main one.

ungraceful-a Fayelon term for inhumane

bog dweller-a creature that lives within a bog, one of the most filthy and disgusting places in the Fayelon's world. To call someone a bog dweller is considered a really good insult, a way to describe someone who is loathesome and disgusting, very often used in extreme contempt

the Divine Source would embrace oblivion-basically Fayelon speak for when pigs fly, meaning when something is never going to happen

lost to the Grace of the Goddess-the ultimate form of expressing contempt, another way of saying that someone is a lost cause, worse than being called a bog dweller and/or ungraceful

Perma-Geo-an insult directed towards geomancer who are seen as "unworthy" to become Gemma Kinetics, regardless of containing the Gemma Kinetic energy

Government[]

Their government is based off of their magical abilities as will as the leadership of the Divine Source. Their world is governed by a group of mysterious beings known as the Disciples of Order. They are said to answer to the Divine Source, upholding the rules and laws amongst the different cultures. The Disciples of Order believe in an idealistic society, much like their deity, and try their best to make certain that all Fayelons should have the freedom to choose their own lives. They frown upon those who decide for themselves how their systems should run whenever it opposes the idealistic beliefs and lifestyle and such enforcement of a less idealistic system is met with extreme prejudice and discipline, but not too harshly. Justice is also an important factor to which if a wrongdoing has been made, they will do all they can to punish such actions accordingly. Those who attempt to go against this system will be met with demands to let go of the less desirable lifestyle or strict limitations of their own freedom will be met. Most of the time, those who are being reprimended will comply but strict disciplinary actions have been met. It is known amongst the Fayelons to be foolish at the very least to disobey a direct order from the disciples of Order as the consequences are beyond severe.

There have been plenty who have made decisions to enforce a more rigid lifestyle and try to form rules that would too often go against an idealistic lifestyle. For example, the geomancers try to enforce a system in which those with the "right" amount of the Gemma Kinetic magic can learn the power, otherwise those with the magical energy will have to turn down learning how to use that power. Their system has no need for such a rule as anyone with the power can learn it no matter how small it is, but too many wanted to enforce that rule regardless. Such rules are not tolerated by the Disciples of Order, who have tried many times to discourage such rules. Such rules would too often fall under self-interest and tyranny, which are also not tolerated by the Disciples of Order.
