Falkner is the first Gym Leader of the Johto Pokemon Region. He is a Flying-Type Specialist and the first person that the player needs to challenge. If the player is able to defeat him, then they are able to earn the Zephyr Badge. He set up his Gym within Violet City, which is the city that comes after Cherrygrove City.
