El Tigre is a character/hero/anti Hero from the series named after him. He is inspiring super hero learning from his famous father although he is occasionally tempted into super villainy by his grandfather. He is more Neutral learning like his best friend and possible love interest Frida Suarez.
Manny Rivera comes from a long line of heroes and villains, with his family transitioning from hero and villain each generation. His father White Pantera, great grandfather Justice Jaguar and great-great-great grandfather Golden Leon, are heroes while his grandfather Puma Loco, great-great grandfather The Mighty Cheetar and great-great-great-great-great grandfather Dark Leopard, are villains. His first ancestor in the hero/villain lineage is the first El Tigre, who was indecisive of whether to be a hero or villain. This indecisiveness caused his ancestor to develop a split personality between good and evil. This is what probably caused the long line of heroes and villains in his family.
Just like in spanish cultures, the Rivera family regard and respect their family and bloodline immensely, with his father and grandfather honoring the memories every year during the mexican holiday, Dia De Los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead. Even Manny takes is last name with pride as well as honor and respect his family and lineage. Though, he didn't seem to care much about honoring the dead until the episode, The Grave Escape, where he and Frida ended up in the land of the dead where they met his ancestors, including El Tigre, and they teamed up to save Miracle City from Sartana, even helped to unite them when they were divided by their moralities (with both of his family consisting of heroes and villains), reminding them all that they're family. Since then, he never disrespected their memory again.
Manny is the reincarnation of Maria from The Book of Life and Maya from Maya and the Three. All them being the main character of their stories and both being involved in a complicated situation with 2 other characters.

Like many Nicktoons characters, he is an ally of heroes specifically Bender and The B Team who he worked with for a short time before he and Frida left to get the others back to health. After that he is still in Miracle City with his friend Frida trying to enjoy his life while still having a tough time choosing sides
