Dr. Karin Chakwas is the Normandy's main medical personnel. She has been part of the Normandy crew since the very beginning. She survived the fall of the first Normandy and has been through nearly being melted down by the Collectors.
The Fayelons Story[]
Dr. Chakwas was still part of the Normandy's medical bay upon the Fayelons' arrival. She examined the girls to see if they were in good health. She knew very little about them and their powers but was able to tell that they were in good shape. Having no knowledge of their magical powers, she asked Mordin Solus to help evaluate the girls' powers and figure them out. From there, she was able to collect as much data as she needed to ensure that they would receive the proper care that they needed.
However, as she examined them more and more, she was able to find out that they weren't as in good of health as she had thought previously, after they were put on a strict dieting schedule, she was able to find that they actually weren't producing as much magic energy within their bodies as she thought. In fact, when she first met them, they were basically running on fumes. From here, she also became suspicious of how they were treated by their own kind.
