Diglett

Diglett is a mole-like Ground type Pokemon from the Kanto region. Digletts live underground. They tend to pop up from below it sometimes. No one knows what Digletts look like underground, though, but they have been known to work in groups. They evolve into a 3-mole bunch named Dugtrio.

Diglett are raised in most farms. The reason is simple— wherever this Pokémon burrows, the soil is left perfectly tilled for planting crops. This soil is made ideal for growing delicious vegetables.

Its name may be a combination of dig and singlet. However, the suffix -let could also be a reason behind the name.

Its Japanese name, ディグダ Digda, refers to the word dig.
