Chronos, officially known as Democratic Republic of Chronos (DRC, in Chinese: 時辰民主共和國, Shíchén Mínzhǔ Gònghéguó), also known as Chronos Republic and previously known as Chronos Empire, is a fictional East Asian country with the third fourth largest territory of all Asia after Russia, China and Godom Empire (India). At 2.749 million square kilometers and with over 611 million people, Chronos is the world's ninth-largest country by area and the third most populous after China and Godom. Its Federal Head capital is Aryaabata, and its most populous city is Qinxing that makes border with Russia aka New Soviet Union. The republic is composed of the union of 26 provinces and the Federal Head Aryaabata. Chronos is considered to be the fastest economic-growing countries of history and is the second country to have Mandarin as official language and the largest country to have Mongolian as one of its official languages. Due to being a country that was born from the ashes and ruins of Mongolia and Inner Mongolia post-First Spacequake in 2037, Chronos is one of the most Asian multicultural and ethnically diverse countries of East Asia.

Chronos first started as a fascist dictatorship under the name of Chronos Empire, an authoritarian far-right monarchy in its first 5 years of foundation as it was required to use brutality and strength to control a dead chaos and violence to put order through superior force. Over time, Chronos fully took control of Mongolia and established order and several constitutional provinces, finally abandoning its radical ways to install a democratic Socialist republic with Lenist-Marxist ideologies with a growing and vibrant Socialist market economy that easily surpassed its economic rivals from West and East by the end of 2030 with the production and manufacturing, importation and exportation of Magi-Tech goods, machinery, chemicals, electronics, including Magi-Tech military arsenal, weapons and the creation of the remarkable first spaceships and the worldwide famous Magi-Tech Academies in Japan, Chronos and United States that soon were expanded to other Chinese, Russian, American and European colonies located in other planets found and conquered by humanity. Because of this, Chronos is a developed country, taking poisition in 1st in GDP per capita in record time. However, the country is true and most important product is the universally "worshipped" Magi-Tech Gas that is extracted from its grounds and mines to be sold to almost every world's major power. Because of the vital importance of Magi-Tech in humanity's needs, Chronos became the world's top superpower with the largest political and economic of the entire world. Chronos is known to be the world's fastest-growing major economy, the wealthiest nation in the world, and the world's largest manufacturer and exporter until 2037 when the country crumbled like every world's major power and country with the Apocalypse of Diabla the Qliphoth Tyrant. Despite its efforts, Chronos' secret goals were successfully achieved in protecting humankind at the cost of billions and became the cradle of humanity post-Apocalypse to rebuild the destroyed world left behind by the Third World War and Apocalypse. Moreover, it's the first nation to ever use robotic and technologic advance in military and civilians affairs, including for using the first Divinos relics in human matters, converting them to be usable for humankind. It's rapid technological advance with the Divinos relics also allowed Chronos to encounter the first sentient alien species in 2033, starting the First Great War with a different sapient species outside of Earth and became one of five major countries to represent mankind in the Galactic Community alongside United States, Japan, Brazil and China.

Chronos Republic is nominally an unitary one-party socialist republic led by the People's Communist Renovation Party (PCRP), before its transformation into republic, it was led by the radical far-right Extremist Communion Union (ECU), a name given to put obvious extremist union on the destroyed provinces of Mongolia, radical but well-intentioned that would serve as a temporary party until the complete unification of Mongolia into Chronos Empire. Ironically, both parties were founded and commanded by Sephiria KnightWalker who had to abandon her leftist ideals to use brute strength and necessary force to subjugate the chaos left behind by the First Spacequake, becoming not different from her father Juria KnightWalker. Despite her efforts to erase ECU, there are still some politicians and civilians that fully support a far-right government led by Anti-Chinese and Anti-Communist radical groups, usually being radical political activists. The country is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and the top-head of Global Pact Defense, sharing the co-seat with United States of America. Chronos is a founding member of the Stabilization Union, Magik International Organization, Organization of East-Asian Pact, Global Pact Defense, and other international organizations such as Asian Union (the counterpart to European Union) and is part of the CCR (China-Chronos-Russia) military alliance until the Soviet coup led by King Hamdo in Russian, transforming it in New Soviet Union and leaving the pact, leaving only China and Chronos Republic. During the Third World War, Chronos and China served as the as guardians of the East Asia against Godom Empire, New Soviet Union, Kazakhstan, the former Chinese ally North Korea now called Greater Korean Republic and KnightWalker Family. As the two most powerful of forces of Asia, the two countries were received with almost every miltiary force of KA, about 2/3 of all KnightWalker Alliance forces were solely dedicated to disarm Chronos and China out of fear.

Chronos is one of the great powers, with worldwide economic, cultural, military, scientific, technological and political influence internationally and outside of Earth. Despite its early fascists and authoritarian Stalinist-like roots, since its Chronos Republic grew as high in international measures of economic freedom, civil liberties, rapid and technologically advanced natural and wild life protection, reduced levels of perceived corruption, freedom of the speech (and the press), quality of life, lowest infant mortality rates in the world, quality of higher education and universal near-perfect health care. Its citizens also enjoy one of the world's fastest Internet connection speeds and the most dense high-speed railway network, most advanced transportation methods including space-travel and highest tourism rate of Asia. Chronos currently ranks the highest country on the Human Development Index in Asia, highest life expectancies, personal safety and a comfortable and technologically advanced housing in grounds, underground towns and even air-flying cities such as the Disk Two. Despite all its good and universally acclaimed international development, Chronos ranks among the lowest international measurements of government public affairs (exposure of government plans and public decisions), respect for human rights due to the Magi-Tech Era influence over normal human lives, police and military brutality and freedom of religion. Chronos authorities have been criticized by Western political dissidents and human rights activists for widespread human rights abuses caused by their Magicians that soon extended to their Magi-Tech Academies, mass Internet censorship, mass surveillance of their citizens and violent suppression of peaceful protests. Over the course of the Third World War, Chronos lost almost every of those aforementioned points once it adopted a more radical and violent method of control that included persecution, arrest and executions of entire families of defectors, restriction of freedom of speech, citizens cannot freely leave the country under the threat of death, control of media and political oppression, resulting in the country gaining the reputation of having one of the worst human rights record in the world.

In CIS Productions, Chronos Republic serves as a major antagonistic faction in LOTM: Sword of Gods and one of the main antagonistic forces of LOTM: Sword of Gods AA - Raizen Academy Arc alongside World Serpent, KnightWalker Family and Mafusa Sovereignty. Its overall influence, power and feared reputation makes it one of the deadliest villainous factions of Saga AA and remains one of the mos important and vital allies of the heroic cast against New World Order and Revelation of Qliphoth alongside Cultus Pythonissam. It serves as the Reboot version of the original Chronos Empire from 2015-2020 Pre-Reboot.

Etymology

During antiquity, Chronos was occasionally interpreted as Cronus. According to Plutarch, the Greeks believed that Cronus was an allegorical name for Chronos In addition to the name, the story of Cronus eating his children was also interpreted as an allegory to a specific aspect of time held within Cronus' sphere of influence. According to this theory, Cronus represented the destructive ravages of time which consumed all things, a concept that was expressed literally when the Titan king devoured the Olympian gods—the past consuming the future, the older generation suppressing the next generation.

During the Renaissance, the identification of Cronus and Chronos gave rise to "Father Time" wielding the harvesting scythe. The original meaning and etymology of the word chronos are uncertain. English words derived from it include chronology, chronometer, chronic, anachronism, synchrony, and chronicle.

Overview

Foundation

Chronos' territory from Mongolia to Inner Mongolia, former territory of China post-First Spacequake

Chronos was founded in 2015 A.D. during the early stages of Global Collapse of 2020s and at the apex of the Second Cold War of KnightWalker Family against United States of America by the young Communist Chinese military leader Sephiria KnightWalker who was also the Minister of China's National Defense of People's Liberation Army. Following the discovery of the Magi-Tech Gas left behind by the First Spacequake, China that had most of its Inner Mongolia province absolutely destroyed alongside the entire territory of Mongolia, but were the first country to ever master and study the Magi-Tech, creating Artificial Magician through military experiments that pushed humanity to a new evolutional stage in its history.

During one of Sephiria's "humanitarian" expeditions to Mongolia and Inner Mongolia, she became an Artificial Magician once the Magi-Tech Gas sentiently chose her to be its first host, transforming her into the very first Artificial Magician to ever exist and its strongest in all history. With the power of a God, Sephiria discovered the hidden scheming of an organization called New World Order via-Ratatoskr and found out about the existence of Thiessith and the Fallen's Essence that were controlling humanity's affairs for countless millennia. Alongside this information, she was also introduced to Milky Way's greatest threat that would one day arrive at Prime Earth to control all of humankind and eventually the entire galaxy, this threat was called Revelation of Qliphoth. Under the shock of those discoveries, Sephiria "betrayed" her country and formed a separatist cell in the People's Liberation Army, splitting China Liberation's Army in two and dragging them to the ruined lands of Mongolia to form a "rebel province" much like Republic of China (Taiwan). Under her command and using her newly-found powers that unified the land's destroyed provinces and gathered allies from China's Liberation Army that were considered to be traitors of the Mainland China under the promise of transforming them into Artificial Magicians like her.

Her god-like powers allowed her perform miracles like reconstructing entire dead lands, rebuilding destroyed structures and even powering up machinations with Magi-Tech Gas, thus allowing her to create Magician in not only humans but animals as she desired. In record time, Sephiria built a nation of Artificial Magician loyal to her. In the first years of Chronos' construction, the rebel province (before the full independence and formation of the country outside of Ulaanbaatar) was declared to be an extremely dangerous enemy by China, Kazakhstan and Russia that bombed the province with heavy military arsenal and even nuclear warheads once the existence of a fully operation Magician Army was discovered in the dead lands of the past Ulaanbaatar. However, Sephiria single-handed the entire war in a single day in what was called "God's Protection Incident" and ended the conflict without a single casualties, scaring the entire world with her god-like powers once she proved to easily destroy an entire country in a matter of minutes. Because of this, the rebel province was left alone under extreme economic and political pressure as well suspicion and fear of a potential invasion to the rest of Asia. However, Sephiria's true plans were revealed to be the construction of a full Magi-Tech country with a god-like army that could eventually fight against the Orácion Imperium and New World Order to prepare Earth and the rest of the world to their worst and most dangerous upcoming foes from Qliphoth.

Original Plans

Chronos Empire's flag before its conversion into Republic

Originally, Sephiria's plans included in using Chronos as the backseat of humanity and once the war against the New World Order and Revelation of Qliphoth were over, she would surrender to the China's Liberation Army to be sentenced for her past treason. Before this, she would make sure to abolish the current Chinese government and have much influence inside of the post-Communist China to restore CCP and return it back to its Lenist-Marxist ideology so she could be truly sentenced as a traitor and by the government she swore to serve.

After surrending herself, she would give up of all of her political powers on the process to be subjugated as a normal defector and traitor to the Mainland China. As a result, the Inner Mongolia territories of China would be returned back to China with all the riches left by her, and Chronos would fully became part of Mainland China through diplomatic and democratic votes IF no Chronian general showed resistance. If her plan worked like this, China would "absorb" Chronos and gain even more territory, political power and even its Magi-Tech properties, military, technology and colonies, becoming a monstrous inter-stellar giant and the dominant country of Earth and all humankind. But as someone as intelligent as Sephiria was, she knew in the worst case she would end up as a martyr and all of Chronos Empire would resist CCP's new regime, generating a full-scale war where China would probably lose on the process due to the difference of Magi-Tech power, super weapons and Divinos' military technology. If this turned out like that, Chronos would fully conquer all of Mainland China's territory and become a giant dictatorship that would not take so long to take the rest of the world and unify it under Chronos' dictatorial flag, either way, the worst outcome was the most probable future to happen so Sephiria decided to not take risks of causing another war between her "puppet-state" and China.

Eventually, Sephiria just came to the conclusion that Chronos was more than a puppet-state, it was fully great power, with a society that touched nearly achieved every impossible dream of man and fully embraced Chronos as part of her and to be a legitimate and actual government that would much later cease fire with China in the borders of Inner Mongolia. However, due to the superiority of her nation, Chronos was still living under suspicion of all its neighboring countries, which resulted in Chronos assuming a similar aggressive military cybernetic campaign of espionage. From her words, Sephiria stated that Chronos was not just a Communist country but Chinese in heart, which is why she adopted Mandarin as the official language of the nation and hoped to form a diplomatic and peaceful pact with her homeland in the future without fear and suspicion.

Organizations

Socialist Party

Much like its sibling country, Chronos is a Leftist-Communist country that adopted much of Marxism-Lenism ideals but sought to perfect them even more based after humanity's current era and needs. The ruling body of Mainland Chronos' Sovereignty Constitution declares that Socialism is the de-facto symbol of Chronos' leadership and that all its leaders and representatives are to be moved and driven by Karl Marx's dreams. It followed a similar concept of "socialism with Chinese characteristics" but adapted to use Magi-Tech as the base and the very pillar of their new ideology.

Politics and Government

Chronos is ruled by a Communist government whose influence and rule rapidly extend, but is not limited to Mongolia but other planets like Mars, Saturn, Neptune, Eris, and several other Jovian moons. Chronos is a one-party state led by the People's Communist Renovation Party and led by a central presidential figure with nearly no restriction in power and no time of end of mandate. The President is the titular head of state, elected by Chronos' Senate rather than popular democratic public votes that can vote for members in the Senate and Governors. The President is also the head of government, presiding over the Country Senate and Council composed of at least three vice premiers and the heads of ministries and commissions.

The president and former empress of Chronos Empire is Sephiria and never left the post for a single day since the foundation of the country, who is also the founder of the country and party, making her Chronos' "eternal" leader and the very face of the nation. The government follows a variety of Marxism–Leninism that Sephiria developed for realising a socialist revolution in the ruined lands of Mongolia and Inner Mongolia to form a Socialist state under the rule of a communist party inspired by Mao Zedong's Chinese Communist Party (CCP), also called Communist Part of China, this ideology is called Seprism, a Chronian original socialist variant of Socialism to adapt it to the contemporary era the people were living in with the extensive use of Magi-Tech and resources outside of Earth, returning socialism a little back to its roots as, according to Sephiria, "the impossible was now possible" and adopted a liberal socialist market economy controlled by the government and state-companies rather than putting such companies in the hands of Governors to grow extensive corruption in provinces ruled by an individual of the party. In this sense, the Republic is not much different from Chronos Empire's absolutist monarchy where all powers lied on Sephiria's hands but now all the state affairs would be supervised, rated and watched by her. Sephiria's overall program of adopting elements of market economics as a means to foster growth using foreign investment and to increase productivity while the party retained both its formal commitment to achieve a more advanced and contemporary form of communism and its monopoly on political power. In resume, the Seprism is a form of Marxism–Leninism communism adapted to Chronos' conditions and a product of scientific socialism. While the original plan to form a society of medium-class people, the fast-growing economy of Chronos, Magi-Tech business and rapid expansion outside of Earth resulted in Chronos becoming a world's impossible country to ever exist and allowed its people grow wealthy but under subjection of the state of restriction of the use of uncontrolled funds and great surveillance (which was contributed to uses nano-machines for espionage) to stop the rapid grown of corruption. This method was too risky but with the vast technological superiority of Chronos it was possible to keep balance between poor and rich and allowing even the most average worker to quickly rise among the ranks of society.

The level of public support for the government and its management of the nation is high, with 85–95% of Chronians citizens expressing satisfaction with the central government compared to Chronos' Empire previous economic system, and seems to be be widely acclaimed by socialist historians and other even other Western countries as it approaches a more humane political approach compared to its predecessors once now that miracles with Magi-Tech were possible, bringing countless ideas and doors to be open for a world ruled by more efficient and effective political ideas.

Laws

Chronian law is based on the civil law legal system and civil law concepts prevail over common law practice. Most of Chronos law is codified, although non-codified statutes also represent a substantial part, playing a complementary role. Court decisions set out interpretive guidelines; however, they are seldom binding on other specific cases. Doctrinal works and the works of academic jurists have strong influence in law creation and in law cases. The legal system is based on the Federal Constitution, and the fundamental law of Chronos.

All other legislation and court decisions must conform to its rules. Provinces have their own constitutions, which must not contradict the Federal Constitution. Legislative entities are the main source of statutes, although in certain matters judiciary and executive bodies may enact legal norms. Jurisdiction is administered by the judiciary entities, although in rare situations the Federal Constitution allows the Federal Senate to pass on legal judgments. There are also specialized military, labor, and electoral courts. The highest court is the Supreme Federal Court.

Foreign relations

Despite its initial fascist-roots and Socialist political ideology, Chronos had a surprising peaceful and good relations with most of the world (even with the KnightWalker Family in France as a mean to hide Sephiria's revenge) except for its own neighboring countries, China, Russia and Kazakhstan. Chronos's international relations are based on Article 4 of the Constitution, which establishes non-intervention, self-determination, international cooperation and the peaceful settlement of conflicts as the guiding principles of Chronos' relationship with other countries and multilateral organizations. According to the Constitution, the President has ultimate authority over foreign policy, while the Senate and Party are tasked with reviewing and considering all diplomatic nominations and international treaties, as well as legislation relating to Chronians foreign policy. Despite Chronos' growing economy and superior power, it remains a neutral nation that avoids touching in any international affairs unlike United States and its neighboring countries China and Russia, instead Chronos Republic is more focused in the fast growing of its power and expansion outside of Earth.

Chronos is known to send soldiers for peace-keeping missions rather than for fighting international wars

Chronos' foreign policy is a by-product of the country's position as a regional power in East Asia. Chronos' foreign policy has generally been based on the principles of multilateralism, peaceful dispute settlement, and non-intervention in the affairs of other countries. However, the country is not above making business with countries in state-of-war. An increasingly well-developed tool of Chronos' foreign policy is providing aid as a donor to other developing countries. Chronos does not just use its growing economic strength to provide financial aid, but it also provides high levels of expertise and most importantly of all, a quiet non-confrontational diplomacy to improve governance levels. Total aid is estimated to be around $5 billion per year, which includes. This is in addition to humanitarian assistance and contributions to multilateral development agencies.

Despite its efforts for peace, Chronos is in active war alert against China over the territories of Inner Mongolia which were destroyed by the First Spacequake in 2007 and abandoned by the nation due to the high level of radiation. Since then, China has tried many efforts to restore Inner Mongolia but in vain, resulting in nation abandoning it but still claimed to be part of their territory. On the other hand, Chronos expanded deeper into Inner Mongolia territories, crossing the barrier of where once was known to be the border of China and Mongolia. Since then, Chronos has been claiming the lands to be "leaderless", therefore it was not part of Mainland China anymore. Since 2012, the countries are at war in dispute for the land but thanks to Chronos' Magician Army that were immune to the radiation, Chronos showed superiority in ground battles while China had superior air force since Chronos was newborn country with no solid military installed yet. In 2016, a neutral zone was estabilished in Inner Mongolia that separated China and Chronos from engaging in combat. Unfortunately, many villages and towns were caught on the crossfire and as result of the conflict many Anti-Sephiria terrorist groups were born, blaming her for the armed conflicts and death of their families.

The Chronos' Reformation Army (CRA) is the regular armed forces of the Chronos Republic and the armed wing of the party's founding and ruling political party. It serves as Chronos' military forces and the overall name for Chronos' military. It consists of the Defensive Army, Magician Corps, Sea Navy, Sky Superiority, Space Force, and Coast Guard. The president of Chronos Republic is the commander-in-chief of the Reformation Army and forms military policy. All six armed services are among the eight uniformed services of Chronos.

Chronos' Reformation Army is second world's largest military force and constitutes the second largest defense budget in the world. It is also the fastest modernizing militaries in the world, and has been termed as a military superpower, with significant regional defense and rising global power projection capabilities. The military budget of Chronos is around US$804 billion, the highest in the world, surpassing even United States. The Chronos' Army has significant capabilities in both defense and power projection due to its large budget, resulting in advanced and powerful technologies which enables a widespread deployment of the force around Asia for peace-keeping missions.

Chronos' Reformation Army also has the world's largest air force, Chronos Navy is the world's largest navy by tonnage, and the Chronos Navy and the Magician Corps combined are the world's third largest air arm after U.S and China. In terms of size. The Chronos' Air Superiority has about 30,000 aircraft in its military inventory, 9,000 space-ships from destroyers, cruisers, frigates and whole military stations.

Economy

Chronos was first in the world in total number of billionaires and second in millionaires—there were 730 Chronias billionaires and 5.5 million millionaires. During the Collapse of 2020s, Chronos overtook the US and China as the home to the highest number of rich people in the world. In other words, around 200 million Chronians are in the top 20% of the wealthiest individuals in the world—those who have a net personal wealth of at least $150,000. In 2036, Chronos has the world's highest number of billionaires with nearly 1010, increasing at the rate of roughly five per week.

Magi-Tech Academies

The universally claimed Magi-Tech Gas capable of giving normal humans the power of a God

Chronos' true economy lies in the Magi-Tech Gas left behind by the First Spacequake that constructed thousands of "mines" and caves of crystalized gas. Months after the First Spacequake, China was already the first country to explore the ruins but would never get deeper into Mongolian territory due to the radiation of the gas that killed all of their explores. At some point, the gas that got gathered inside of the ground were crystalized in the form a purple or green crystal that literally formed mines of crystals containing unlimited source of power to transform at least 1,000 people into Artificial Magicians.

Despite China was first country to weaponize the gas, Chronos was the first to ever make business out of it by mastering it into form of walking weapons inside of human bodies and formed the Magi-Tech Academies to create schools with the solo purpose of profiting and expanding army of Magicians not only in Chronos but to all other major countries for more political influence. The Magi-Tech Gas served as the backbone economy of the Republic until its complete downfall in 2037.

Economic Growth

Chronos' secondary economy lied on the production and exportation of the first revolutionary spaceships used by every major world's superpower of Earth

Chronos is the largest national economy in the world and the second largest national economy in the world. In 2030, Chronos' labor force consisted of 210 million workers. Chronos has a low unemployment rate of around 2.4 percent. Around 13 percent of the population are below the poverty line but the constant population growing number increases this number per year. As of 2034, Chronos has the highest ratio of public debt to GDP of any developed nation, with national debt at 236% relative to GDP as of 2017.

Chronos' main exports are spaceships, motor vehicles, machinery, robots, iron and steel products, semiconductors and auto parts. Chronos' economic variant of capitalism has many distinct features: the party's private enterprises are influential, and lifetime employment and seniority-based career advancement are common in the Chronos work environment. Chronos has a large cooperative sector, with three of the ten largest cooperatives in the world, including the largest consumer cooperative and the largest agricultural cooperative in the world.

• The original Chronos Empire was known to be an Imperial monarchy led by a corporate state that was large enough to be free from its original plan to grow only for profit and eventually its executives were fired to welcome actual Right-Wing politician that focused in a more conservative and progressive internal development of technologies. However, due to the story taking place in an alternative Earth, Chronos was set in China in a hypothetical future if Mao Zedong's Communist forces never won the Chinese Civil War and Chiang Kai-shek remained in power of the Republic of China. The reboot version of Chronos, however, follows the same historical events of real life and works with the concept of a Communist China, however, instead of being set in China, Chronos was moved to Mongolia and becoming a sort of "Taiwan" province, repeating history but in a different future rather than past.
• Needless to say by now, Chronos Empire was a Right-Wing state while the reboot version serves as a fragment of Communist China and is a Left-Wing state ruled by a Socialist party. Internally, there is not much difference from the pre-reboot and post-reboot Chronos as they still remain technologically advanced. However, while the previous version of Chronos works the concept of a "benevolent corporate state", the new-reboot version of Chronos is political to the core and works with a perfect introduction of Communism in a society where it worked completely rather than repeating previous historical regimes that tried to implant it into their nations but failed or eventually became nothing but dictatorships. The vast technology and free economy also helped Chronos to grow as a nation instead of isolating itself into Socialist-blocks only.
• The term "Republic of Chronos" was the newest concept created by CIS Productions as until 04/09/2021 and was introduced literally during the creation of Sephiria KnightWalker's creation. The radical change was given because the concept of an "Imperial Communist" nation is almost impossible to work nowadays and in the future.
