Dark Gennai, the "Mysterious Man" is the secondary antagonist of Digimon Adventure tri.. He is working with King Drasil and Maki Himekawa.
Description[]
Unlike Gennai, Dark Gennai is dark, cruel, and sadistic. Dark Gennai openly enjoys the suffering of others as seen when he laughs at Meiko while she was in despair.
He is loyal to King Drasil, is more of a malicious sociopath who believes the Digimon are being enslaved by humans and oversees the plan of using Meicoomon to destroy the humans with their world absorbed into the Digital World.
Chronicles of Great New Empire[]
Dark Gennai was later on betrayed by the King Drasil while fighting against a Force of Hevenburg member Kureha Tsubaki, he was shot by holy arrow from a Raydric Archer presuming that leads to his death after falling.

Fire Rebellion Season 18[]
Dark Gennai had first appeared as the main antagonist of Season 18. Dark Gennai plans to rob New Donk City of its Power Moon supply, he is met by an evil Power Ranger. After having an alliance, he attacks the Grid Battleforce by sending Musyamon. However, he was shocked! He and Blaze opened the gate and disappeared together. After the Musyamon was destroyed by the Power Rangers Beast Morphers, Dark Gennai was furious about his failure. He was convinced was by Blaze to have another plan against the heroes. He summons IceDevimon to freeze New Donk City, but his plan failed again. He and Blaze appeared ambush the heroes. However, he was confronted by the powerful forces of heroes in the final battle. Then, he summoned his latest ultimate weapon Myotismon. During his last stand, Dark Gennai collapses and loses consciousness. He was finally absorbed by Myotismon to become VenomMyotismon. During the last battle, he and VenomMyotismon were eventually destroyed by Beast-X Megazord with Beast-X Hyperstrike for good. Following the failure of his plan, Dark Gennai's tyranny has come to an end.
