Dale Alvin Gribble (born July 11, 1953) is an exterminator, bounty hunter, chain smoker, gun fanatic, and conspiracy theorist. He is one of the main characters of King of the Hill. He is Nancy Hicks-Gribble's husband and Joseph Gribble's legal father.

Chapter 4[]
Dale Gribble is visited by Bender, Anti Cosmo, Libby, Sid, Lisa and the others and they ask for him. He tries to weasel out of it by using Rusty Shackleford alias like he always does. Though this doesn't work as they know who he really is and Bender pulled out receipts of Dale using the alias and kept track of him. Dale being licked, lets them and they tell him about Operation Countdown
Dale does believe Operation Countdown, and Dale believes all this due to his dislike the government and shares his many insane theories and how the government is attempting to control everything and all that.
Captain Putty and Homelander arrive at Dale's house trying to get info on Bender and the others having tracked them to the Gribble Household. Dale refuses to say anything as he has no trust for these government people, though Putty attempts to torture him to get info until Homelander stops him
Dale tells the crew of Putty being there and has an idea to find info on Operation Countdown and takes Bender, Anti Cosmo, Scratch, Starlight, Ren, Wile E, Professor Membrane and The Resisty with him in his Bug Mobile. Dale decides to disguise himself and the others into the base as they do look normal unlike the others and to find out the info they need.
Dale finds out about Operation Countdown and CSM's space and time distortion plan is involved somehow in the military base. This puts Homelander's plan to get Supes in the military in the crosshairs of Dale as he leaves with the others. However the villains are on to him and Dale freaks out as Putty hunts after him with Zib, Blackfire and CSM as they head to Alamo Land as the others fight off Putty, Zib and Blackfire's attacks. With Putty trying to kill them by forcing Dale off the wheel.
After arriving with Alamo Land, he parks the vehicle in the parking lot and waits them to get back. Dale considers getting his guns to help out knowing how serious this is and happy he can use them. Before heading to Johto, he just does this running back to his house and gets all of his fire arms.
Chapter 5[]
Dale arrives in Johto with the others and searches the boat for any spies. This is part to him being paranoid about the government and anything else, he is joined by Starlight on this respectfully. Dale nearly finds The Chameleon, but misses by the slightest of inches.
Upon learning of Johto and what he is told, he focuses on the Unown and states he wants them which Bender and the others go to. He has more creative uses for it than Pokemon, Dale thinks on using them for power to make money if needed.
Upon the legendarys being involved, Dale joins Bender in going after the Duo of Johto, he equips himself with fire arms in case they're watched. He is proven right when some of the villains do actually show up. Dale shoots the 3 villains many times and uses Squirrel tactics to escape them as Blackfire and The Deep Chase Dale respectfully.
He takes the Bug Mobile to drive them to The Bell Tower respectfully. He considers continuing this to find the Legendary Dogs, though his car is out of gas so they have to get Camilla to do so.
Chapter 6[]
With the others, he and the others manage to find Raikou and Entei and even he considers tranquiziling them, he is stopped by Sid, Lisa and Libby who just settle for capturing the pokemon. He moans how they never do things his way, though this is rectified after Slade picks them up and they end up dealing with a Black Arms Invasion and he tranquizes them to allow the others to take out Black Doom's forces. Dale upon hearing of the plans decides to go all out and gets the guns from the Arlen Club to go after the alien forces.
Finale[]
Dale decides to join Benny and Hughie in the Vought Trial.He takes some of the Vought Lawyers with throwing pocket sand in their face and acts a witness to tesify against Vought. Though his insanity doesn't do favors,
Dale keeps an eye for any defenders and kidnaps them afterwards to stop Vought from being ruled in their favor to their high influence of power.
Dale returns and as an exterminator manages to clean up the situation and tells Bender the bill will come in the mail as they return

Chapter 8: Earth X's Last Stand[]
Dale is recurited by Libby and Hailey to deal with the Cartel and save the others. Dale gets all his guns ready and uses them to shoot the Cartel members to help Slade's empire, he also sends his family to the bomb shelter against Eladio tries to kill them.
Upon reuniting with Bender and his friends, Dale takes on The Cartel and later the Thawnes when Thawne powered by Reverse Speed Force returns.
Greatest Universal Horror Show of Circus Gothica[]
Dale aids Bender and Anti Cosmo in their work respectfully in Oklahoma and Halverston and Area. First through looking up Summerville for them and them discussing what happened there and then helping the two and Wimona trap the latter's possessed parents while fighting Whooping Crane
Dale gets the others to safety in his Bug a Bago and they all drive on to their next location where he eventually helps deal with Inhomtep due to his familiarity with pests. Dale snuck into Big City to get Cricket and friends to safety and then arrives at the entrance and uses his exterminator gas to lower the guards of Undergrowth and then helps the others deal with ghosts
Dale stays to help Ronnie Anne with her Horror Mecando's 2nd anniversary and also so he can exterminate the bugs afterwards.
War of The Streams[]
Dale was basically working to undermine the Underwoods on Bender's behalf who was given a job to investigate them by the President. Dale decides to use his exterminator business to hide him bugging the Office, though he is made aware that it may be caught. Dale regroups with Stan and Bean and proceeds to help them as well as Slade's Empire.
Dale is paranoid and suspicious of the Underwoods may be on to him so he tries to make bail but is stopped by Bean forcing him to not run off. Dale agrees and gets all his fire arms and some of his other tools while getting into a fight with The Cartel and the Cabinet of Underwood who he blinds with pocket sand. Dale gets back to the others and prepares to fight back against Underwood and his forces. Upon his defeat, Dale manages to knock out the Underwoods with his poisons and uses the Bug A Mobile to get them transported to Slade and Anti Cosmo to finish off.

Book 1: Overture[]
Chapter 1[]
Part 1[]
It's Night time and at Manhattan outside of an apartment is Dale Gribble's vechile where Bender, Wile E, Libby and Anti Cosmo are there with Dale as they are casing the apartment and their target.
Dale hands the three ear buds to use to communicate so they can uncover information and report back to him. Wile E questions why he can't just spefically just bug the place using his cover as an exterminator. Dale in his own paranoid tendencies says that their target is part of the government and he is fearful that they will come after him like what happened with the Underwoods. Bender says he's not fearful enough to not infiltrate things here. Libby, AC and Bender head out as Wile E asks Dale about contingencies, Dale said he got his gun club ready and is armed, Wile E grabs a scope riffle and decides to wait in case something goes on.
Anti Cosmo and Bender both manage to do sleuthing in their apartment and manage to get some infomation. The Duo discover that their target has a different name known as Nadia Khayat. Anti Cosmo uncovers her nature as a supe as well as her powers though he and Slade already knew. Bender discovers her plans as well regarding the poltics plan as the two send this over to Wile E and Dale who do get this down.
Dale drives Wile E, Bender, Libby and Anti Comso to THe Boys's hideout and seems that the 5 are a bit dissapointed Neuman found the latter 3. Dale said Bender should have let him or Wile E shoot Neuman upon revealing her extortion. Bender, Anti Cosmo and Wile E all disagree with this, Libby says that at least Dale and Wile E got some infomation on Vicky and that she isn't after them or killing Homelander
The 5 knock at the door to find the boys and Marvin Milk lets them in into the hideout and asks what they found. Bender, Libby and Anti Cosmo hand the files they found, Hughie, Starlight and Frenchie all look into the files. Hughie admits that they knew this already but are still thankful of the investigation, Dale is quick to ask about Billy. Bender says he's not feeling too good due to something he did a bit ago.
Libby, Wile E, Marvin, Dale and Frenchie have recovered what Wile E and Dale recorded decide on if they can't expose Vicky, they will have to find a way to keep her down without doing so.
After Anti Cosmo took his leave back to Slade. Bender, Wile E, Libby and Dale have met up with Bean, Captain Hero, Cleo, Stan, Wendy, Marcy, Luan and Hailey to discuss their trip to get to Don Eladio's house and claim it. Bender adds on that everyone can have some part of it and is curious what everyone wants. Dale wants the basement for his own works.
Afterwards, Bender, Bean, Wile E, Dale and Captain Hero all went down to a bar to go drinking and to let a bit loose before taking their leave. The five of them discuss what they are going to do on their way there and how they will do so. After Membrane's call Bender approaches Dale, Wile E, Captain Hero and Bean informs them of what is happening with Membrane. Bender instructs Dale, Hero and Bean to call up Luan, Cleo, Stan and Wendy about all this.
He goes to get Stan and Wendy posing as a limo driver for the latter two's date. Dale is actually in the limo and he's here to tell them about what they are doing and the location. Stan and Wendy are a bit perturbed about having to go there in China Town, Dale said that is what Professor Membrane said for them to go and that in the morning they are leaving.
Bender, Stan, Wendy, Wile E Coyote and Luan arrive in Arlen to get Dale the next day. Dale has his bags ready and everything that comes with it as He is suspicious of government and sees an opportunity to get more guns for his gun club. Those he can use this time as opposed to Bender and Luan wussing out.
Dale gets in the car with Bender, Luan, Wile E, Stan and Wendy as they head to go to home where Cleo is. The group get to Cleo, who has her bags ready and Bender, Wile E, Luan, Stan, Wendy and Dale help her. Cleo says she was looking into something as she went to the cell Prankster was at, Bender and Wile E both go on her for going to The Prankster's cell without their knowledge. Cleo says she was working away on trying to get the portal ready for her as it's close to her release time. Dale explains they can't trust her randomness as she has still ran crimes even afterwards.
As the seven up take their drive up, Bender has Dale take the wheel as The Space Bandits are calling him up. Zix and Travoltron have managed to find Bender's 1st truck stop equivalently he can stop on the trip. They have also managed to insure that there is no security hazards at Don Eladio's house as well as Tee did some of his own reconnaissance. Wile E and Bender both inspect Dale's guns and Dale explains they will hide them when the time which is Bender agrees to due to both of them sharing this perspective
Part 2[]
As the gang, decides to make a stop at night, Wile E uses his brains to start a fire so they can camp out at night for the team. Dale puts a cigarette on the camp fire so he can smoke, this Bender rolls his eyes for being an amateur as he lights his cigar with his finger.
Dale takes out a beer and decides to drink saying "yup", as he thinks on how to outmanuver Miss.Neuman and asks Stan and Wendy about what really happened down in China Town to make them and Bender so jaded on this event. Wendy says that Bender really isn't out to reveal such details and Stan says that the things that they discovered were things that really shouldn't happened and considering everything he went through that says a lot.
Upon hearing Bender is in trouble through a SOS from Libby, he joins Wile E, Luan Stan, Wendy, and Cleo to the saloon. Luan had brought her costume the whole time which as Dale complement her for being on paranoid, Luan smiles back and tells him that his gun planting also paid off. He and the gang show up to help Bender, Marcy and Captain Hero and uses his marksmanship skills or carelessness to save his friends from Fire Cracker who despite laying on the ground tries to take a shot at them again.
Wile E, Dale and Hailey study the chaos bot debris and Hailey is questioning how they got here under Zib and Putty. Dale admires the work put it to them it's like little bots that go after anyone you hate. Wile E admits they're not that bad in design in either though not that much of a threat unless they're a lot of them
Bender, Luan, Marcy Wu, Wile E, Bean, Captain Hero, Libby, Cleo, Stan, Wendy, Dale Gribble, Hailey Banks all arrive at Don Eladio's house and Bender has the keys and hands them to Luan who opens the doors and Wile E tells the others to start looking and get their stuff ready. Stan, Bean, Dale and Captain Hero all go looking around in some secret compartments. Dale manages to find something and it turns out Eladio has been keeping tabs on all his main partners, he shows Captain Hero something. Dale and Hero both realize Don Eladio was trying to find Captain Hero and kill him for selling him out to Bender and Slade and he was going to find personal assassins to do the job until he had the idea to clone Hero. Bean and Stan question exactly how did Hero anger Eladio that much with that betrayal. Captain Hero said because he was a weapon Eladio couldn't afford to lose and that the Cartel was trying to find people like him to use to enforce their rule. Stan adds that's why Chinatown occured, Dale asks on that and Bean says that Dale shouldn't go around snooping around. He says that's his job and maybe that Neuman has some involvement here with this.
Part 3[]
Dale, Bean and Cleo enjoy Eladio's pool, Dale can understand how a guy like that can enjoy the finer life it's like being a gangster makes you rich. Bean says or a royal like her and her family to Dale. Cleo says that ever since The Cartel has fallen, she has been trying to find other mermaids and notes how the species has gone exist for the most part, she does say considering heading to Mako Island and using the full moon to make mermaids. Bean questions this, but Dale seems to believe and explains that he heard a crazy conspiracy about mermen and mermaids that can be made by speical water and special full moons. Cleo confirms this is true, she wants to repopulate the species but wishes to find people willing rather than force them.
Cleo is being hypontized to follow an order. Marcy has gotten the others with Captain Hero and Dale both giving chase to Cleo
Bean, Marcy Hailey, Stan and Wendy all head off to check and see that it's Cate and Zib who are both outside attempting a break in. The 5 of them decide to fire out at the duo as they try to break in. Hero wakes up Libby who nearly slept through it, as Dale goes to take shots at Cleo to try and break her out of Cate's control. Cleo attacks Dale under Cate's orders though Dale decides on taking her on. Dale, Hero and Captain Marcy hold Cleo asking if she was okay. Cleo she felt like someone was controlling her mind and making her do things. Bean says it was Cate that was doing it. Bender decides to go to bed at that point.
It's morning now and we have both Captain Hero and Dale cooking in the kitchen with their ingredients both boasting how they know how to cook. Bean and Hailey just help themselves to fruit admitting that Eladio certainly left a lot here to eat. Marcy agrees with this and she is watching Cleo just resting with a drink on her and asks if she's okay. Cleo says she found her brain was getting touched and toyed with by that Supe. Stan compares it to The X Men, which Cleo and Marcy agree with Xavier
Dale says that the Government probably experimented on her and that they clearly didn't use another tin foil as he finishes his sides. Captain Hero calls him a moron for saying tin foil, they need a helmet at least to him to protect them. Wendy says for how sweet Cleo is, she is a bit weak willed to not be controlled for it. Cleo says she isn't, she is mellow and consdering all of her powers she has to be. Bean says that she has to be more strong willed to stop Cate controlling her into a weapon for herself to use. Captain Hero and Dale both have managed to make the sides and ask where Bender, Wile E and Luan are as is Libby. Hailey answers on Bender, Luan, Wile E and Libby as they are looking to share info. Dale asks is he going to Slade again, Marcy says this time to the Boys.
Dale considers turning every Head Cartel home into a kind of base or using the resources at hand to help. He knows Bolsa has a Ranch which they can use as well, it's closer to China Town and that he knows where. Bean, Captain Hero, Libby and Dale all work on getting the rest of their stuff ready to head to Bolsa's ranch. Dale is suspcious that Neuman's allies will be tailling them every step of their way as Cate and Zib were able to find them. Libby says that if her and Dale suspect such actions, then they take actions against all of this. Bean and Captain Hero though seem more exicting about the prospect of fighting more bad guys, as Libby and Dale show some worry for this as the two can be a bit reckless
Chapter 2[]
Part 4[]
Being the paranoid nut he is, Dale decides to set the co-ordinates to the ranch where Juan Bolsa resided and puts tinfoil on his head while wrapping everyone's phones in there which gets weird looks from the others. As Wile E shares his cancer projects with the gang about how he will help Butcher, Dale mocks this saying cigarettes aren't dangerous to Bean as he has been smoking since childhood and he's just fine as she doesn't know about cancer. All the while he hides the info of Operation Neuman with Libby to keep any of her allies from seeing it.
Later on, He informs Slade and Anti Cosmo of the Temp V and Compound V power move Luan did and that if he knows Vought, they will hunt them down like animals to keep anything from coming out. That or silence them by buying them out with their Forbes like amounts of money. Arriving at the ranch, Dale decides to open up a brief case with bugs and decide to bug the Ranch all the while trying to make a Rube Goldberg machine so he can deal with intruders.
Part 5[]
Dale's Rube Goldberg Machine works on catching Neuman and he decides to have Luan and Snart deal with the intruder which they are about to do. This is when farm animals with Temp V in their bloodstreams attack them. Dale is suspcious of Neuman wanting to avoid dying working with him but he is strongarmed to agree to do this. So he works with Snart, Rory and Waul to try and find Zib to deal with him.
Preparing Rabie shots for Waul in case the dogs get him this is when he notices something ususal. He tells Snart and Rory of this and the trio manage to find some holes and find Zib who had the V in hand like Neuman said and the three threaten him to leave or face the consequences. Dale manages to pick up the rest of the vitals that Zib used on the farm animals. Handing them to Luan, The Boys and Captain Hero, the V Vitals are destroyed so it won't go into anyone else's hand.
Upon Bender getting back to him as do Wile E, Libby and Cleo on what each of them has done. Dale decides that maybe he will have to spy on Butcher to see what he is hiding from them and feels vindicated that Bender can confirm worm holes are indeed real to him though Bender always knew this.
Part 6[]
Dale joins Bender, Libby, Wile E, Luan and Stan to go down town to find the bunker where Membrane had the Shetty Virus. Dale and Libby both begin to understand with clarity that Bender, Luan, Wile E and Stan are so uneasy with being back here as they recall some of their more troublesome actions. Upon finding the bunker, the six are joined by Billy Butcher who went on his own from his team and then are contacted by Anti Cosmo and Slade afterwards about what the two dealt with.
Chapter 3[]
Part 7[]
Dale and the others manage to find the Shetty Virus and Dale is ready to secure it for Membrane and Bender. This doesn't end up going so simply due to Captain Putty, Z9 and The Boys arriving on them. Dale with Bender, Luan, Stan, Wile E and Butcher go to engage against them and he goes after Putty and Z9 aiding Bender, Stan and Billy Butcher intent to keep it out of their hands trying to poison some of them with his bug killing poisoning and using a gun on them. He is able to prevent the Shetty Virus from reaching the hands of the heroes and manages to smokescreen their escape afterwards. Dale keeps the Virus away from Butcher as per he and Bender don't agree to give it to him as the duo disagree with his major agenda of killing Supes going too far and Dale is able to secure to give it to Lisa Loud. After the Tek Knight invitation, he shows suspension like his other friends and considers doing what he does best spying.
Part 8[]
Following Luan and Wile E's lead, Dale accompanies them and manages to attempt to bug the villains into revealing what Neuman has in mind for Bender and Anti Cosmo for not backing off regarding her and Dale is prepared to attempt an assassination on her despite what he is told. This is temporarily stopped by the villains discovering their plan and trying to stop them. Dale is able to evade them with squirell tatics and when Captain Hero manages to turn the tide. Dale wants to investigate and analyze Marvin and Rocket but he is turned down by them.
Part 9[]
He, Libby and Wile E Coyote assist Luan and Bender in their attempts against Vought acting as mission control as a result. Dale handed Luan a tracking device to assist in this endeavor as he also listens to the bugs that Slade's crew planted earlier. When Bean tries to attack them due to Cate's actions earlier against her, Stan and Hailey. Dale decides to continue acting as mission control as Wile E holds off Bean with his ACME tech with the others playing mission control with Libby. He also assists Bender in getting to the archives so they can get the info needed on Tek Knight and Victoria Neuman.
He does with the intent to blackmail one or both of them, though he learns from Luan and Captain Hero that Tek Knight exposed Neuman so he decides to keep the info he does have on Tek Knight when Tek makes his move. Luan also informs him of what Neuman was trying to expose on them being what happened in Russia with Solider Boy, he does indeed believe this.
Chapter 4[]
Dale joins with the rest of Bender's team and he ends up discovering that Tek Knight has taken over with Neuman's absence and that has him come to his own realization that Tek will target them. Though Dale and the team do have to deal with Neuman and her own forces that are still loyal to her, and later Zib with Putty try to put an arrest on them.
Chapter 5[]
With the rest of The B Team, Dale also gets involved in what Marcy and her friends found out on Bender, Marcy and Slade's own actions in the future having occurred before and that this could be essential to Bender's own case. Upon heading back to Mexico, Dale and the B Team regroup with Slade and The Boys before eventually meeting back up with Team Free Will and The Streaming Resistance.
Dale doesn't show any trust to Neuman and warns Bender about trying to trust her, which he does agree with though he has to work with this, due to what Team Free Will has said
Chapter 6[]
When Butcher arrives to rip Newman into 2, He is instructed to take to the hospital for them as Bender feels she could be useful to the investigation they are taking. Dale tells Bender where she was placed and that if he is ready for info where to go which he and Anti Cosmo go through.
He is then present for The B Team's meeting in Dreamland as they discuss what will go down next feeling it's far from over.
Book 2: Interlude[]
Dale manages to discover the frameup on Bender and is contacted by Wile E and they end up recuriting Stan and Wendy before picking up Bender, Luan and Anti Cosmo to go to the President's secret headquarters to discuss what is going on. Dale admits to his distrust of the government, hence why he goes his own way, he does ask if Bender wants to do this first and foremost and Bender agrees to this as the President is his ally and got him out of the trouble he could have gotten into. Dale then decides to help Professor Membrane with Bugging Morando's ship in case something and mentions how Morando will likely use as a prison cell for others.
Dale then helps Bender, Luan, Wile E, Anti Cosmo, Stan, Wendy and Mop Girl gather the gems and crystals for N.Brio and Deathstroke, though he is tempted to take some for himself. Bender wants to do so as well but does at least see if they can keep some after the fact. Dale then learns about Bender having a meeting with Starfire, Skipper and Heloise about everything and Dale puts a bug on him in case Captain Putty or his allies have any intend to act against them with any detail they will be needed. Upon getting this confirmation after his meeting, Dale tells them it's time to haul ass to the ship and he decides to help crash into the ship and acts as a get away driver to the heroes to evade Morando and N.Tropy's forces while getting introduced to Bender's old B Team.
Book 3: Culmination[]
Dale joins with the rest of The B Team and M.O.D.A.B to help Bender's boss Deathstroke deal with his charges as despite his distrust with government, his working relationship with Bender matters more to him as Bender does pay him handsomely for his services. As a result he helps some of Deathstroke's allies and others using his dead bug car for transport and he is able to gather info the needed to counter back against Tek and Captain Putty. He is also able to head to Calfornia to pick up the Mar Mar Gang so they can help Anne for them all. Later on he is called upon to help get Maka and her friends to the same area as the heroes to prepare for King Andrias and/or N.Tropy.
