Cyndaquil

Cyndaquil is a starter Pokemon from the Johto region. It as well as Chikorita and Totodile were the first few Pokemon to be introduced at the beginning of The Johto Journeys. This marks the first time that new Pokemon were introduced to the series, but they weren't the first Generation II Pokemon to be seen.

Cyndaquil protects itself by flaring up the flames on its back. The flames are vigorous if the Pokémon is angry. However, if it is tired, the flames splutter fitfully with incomplete combustion.

It can evolve into a Quilava and then a Typhlosion.

This little powerhouse was the very first Pokémon April received to go on her journey. The day they met was a day to remember. Since Cyndaquil cherishes the day they became friends, it chose to not evolve and stay the tough little Pokémon it is today. Its strength was proved by defeating Lance's Dragonite in the Silver Conference; there was a time when his own Flamethrower overridden Dragonite's Hyper Beam. It now spends a lot of time outside its Poké Ball and the two are now inseparable.

He soon become part of the special forces as he triumphantly defeated a lot of Red Dragon agents before and after they reached their base in Olympus Mons, as well as disabling an entire minefield along with other electric rodents.

Cyndaquil resides in Death Mountain and assists Link and his team in Dodongo's Cavern in various ways. During the time paradox that took place in Termina, Link just received the Goron Mask, and considering how tumultuous the racing ice track and all those passages were, Cyndaquil handled them with ease, even melting troubling obstacles in his wake, kind of like how Sonic would do. He was indeed a trailblazer as he was good offensively, and fast, while traversing thru the Snowhead Temple.
