Clavicus Vile is the Daedra Prince God of deal making, power, tricksters, and wish granting.
He likes being cruel into granting wishes that he likes to create into false hopes that would turn out from their mind to be good when actually for the worst. He gives his items to his eviler followers that complete his tasks in doing his dirty work to help kill those he deceived. If they do not wish to do so as he asks in refusal he will kill them.
Barbas is Clavicus Vile's pet Daedra dog and the good conscience that gives Clavicus a heart that makes him spare his followers whenever his dog is there to stop him.
