Claude is the main character of Grand Theft Auto III.
Claude is a silent (possibly mute) freelance criminal that went to Liberty City to get revenge on Catalina for betraying him on a bank job. He also appears in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas when he challenged Carl "C.J." Johnson to a race, in which Claude lost and ended giving C.J. his garage in San Fierro.
