Claire Foley is a character from Professor Layton and the Unwound Future.
She is voiced by Lani Minella.
Claire was the girlfriend of Professor Layton ten years prior to the events of The Unwound Future. She was also the assistant of scientists Dimitri Allen and Bill Hawks. She was the first human subject for running the Time Machine. Dimitri found a fatal error in the calculations of the Time Machine, but by the time he realized Bill was moving forward with the experiment, it was too late. The Time Machine exploded, killing Claire, Clive's parents, and severely injuring Bill in the process.
However, Claire was shot ten years into the future, but with weak molecular stability, as her body was trying to return to the moment of the blast.
During her time in the present, she went under the alias Celeste until Clive's arrest. After said events and Dimitri halting his efforts to keep her in the present, Claire said goodbye to Layton and kissed him before returning to the moment of the blast, sealing her fate.

Claire is (physically) deceased, but her consciousness somehow made it into the Direct Neural Interface, same with James "Mustang" McCracken and John Taylor.
