Chili is one of the 3 Gym Leaders of the Striaton Gym, the first gym of the Unova region in Pokemon Black and White. He runs the gym with his brothers, Cilan and Cress. He specializes in Fire-type Pokemon. The player is to challenge him if they own a Snivy as their starter Pokemon. If they were to beat him, then he is to reward them with the Trio Badge. Their gym double as a restaurant with the brother as the owners as well as the waiters of said restaurant.
In Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, he and his brothers relinquish their Gym Leader roles and can run regular 2 vs 2 battles at the player's request.
