Charmeleon is a pure Fire type Pokemon and the evolved form of Charmander. It is to evolve into Charizard, the final stage of Charmander's evolutionary line.
Charmeleon has a barbaric nature. In battle, it whips its fiery tail around and slashes away with sharp claws, mercilessly destroying its foes. If it encounters a strong foe, it turns aggressive. In this excited state, the flame at the tip of its tail flares with a bluish white color. If it becomes agitated during battle, it spouts intense flames, incinerating its surroundings.
Its name is a combination of char, to burn, and chameleon.
Its Japanese name, リザード Lizardo, comes from the word lizard.
Ultimate Story[]
Much like the anime, Ash's Charmander evolved into a Charmeleon and it behaved the same way, too.
Rayman owns a Charmeleon.
