"Canadians want to fight us because we won't tolerate their potty mouths...well, if it is war they want, then war they shall have!"
— Sheila Broflovski after the U.S. declares war on Canada

Villains who seek nothing but to cause war among the inhabitants of their world. Warmongers tend to be officials who see war as the only way of solving their problems, villains who seek to create conflict to further their agenda, or for their own pleasure, or omnicidal maniacs who wish to exterminate all life.

It is different from Blood Knight who seeks fighting through battle with worthy opponent or conflict in general rather than war by itself. Sometimes, the enemy side of the protagonist is the war enemy and main antagonist, such as Fire Lord Ozai from Avatar: The Last Airbender or Dr. Nefarious in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.

Sometimes, these wars are caused and controlled by a villain and manipulated on both sides. Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars is a good example, due to being the powerful Sith Lord and master to the Seperatist Alliance's leader Count Dooku and the Chancellor/leader of the Galactic Republic, which led to his rise to power in his "Clone Wars". Another good example is Oswald Cobblepot from the Batman prequel TV series Gotham, due to him manipulating the crime war between his former boss Fish Mooney and powerful crime lord Carmine Falcone. Al Mualim and Charles Lee from the Assassin's Creed franchise also count, due to Al Mualim being a Templar spy and leader of the Assassin Order, and Charles Lee because of his accomplice John Pitcairn being a general in the British Army and himself plotting to become the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army. This way, he manipulated the American Revolution so that the Templar Order rules the nation, but dies before that could happen.
