Ugly Characters

This can refer to characters who are cosmetically challenged, but some people may to refer to someone as "ugly" because of a dislike for that someone. It can also refer to characters might be pretty on the outside but they can be ugly on the inside.

Keep in mind that the other way around is possible, too: though some characters may look ugly on the outside, they can be beautiful on the inside.
