When Phantom was released by Unicron, he cast a very powerful spell that reawakened the lost memories of his allies from the original universe, causing every reincarnation of each villain to come to his aid once more.
After he was seperated from Johnathan Tangelo, Phantom and his followers scoured the multiverse for even more followers.
Shortly after releasing the Eclipse, he switched sides and aided the heroes in the final battle against Galvatron. He and his followers then joined the Hailfire Empire.
