PMCs

An armed paramilitary force that are a corporation/company rather than an actual government/nation's military, and are paid for what they do. It is a commercial organization whose employees are paid to carry out military or security duties in cooperation with or in the place of regular military formations.

EXAMPLES ARE:

• Atlas Corporation - From the Call of Duty universe. Owned by Jonathan Irons.

• Displace International/Black Arrow - From the Splinter Cell universe. Owned by Douglas Shetland as Displace International, and later by Lucius Galliard as Black Arrow PMC.

• The Mercs - From Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Led by DeFalco.
  • Another Mercenary force appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

• PMC(MW3) - A PMC in multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and the Russian Loyalists in Singleplayer. Led by Nikolai.
