Members of the Disney Family

The Disney Family consists of those who have been created by the Walt Disney company staff, those who have either married into or been adopted by the Disney Family, and those who have been born of Disney Family members. It also includes originally non-Disney characters whose stories Disney has bought the rights to.

For example, anyone from the Marvel universe is considered a member of the Disney Family, because Disney has taken a partnership with Marvel. Also, Lucasfilm characters are considered members of the Disney Family, because Lucasfilm was acquired in 2012 by the Walt Disney Company for $4.05 billion.
