Gaolers

An abusive and/or corrupt Gaoler, who due to their power are often a great threat to the inmates as well as other staff. Gaolers (also known as Wardens or Jailers) are characters who keep others prisoners - often as the enforcers of a higher authority: although the title itself is not villainous many Gaolers in fiction abuse their power and alongside Executioners are often portrayed as villainous individuals.
