Confidants

Everyone has problems, issues, trauma and emotional baggage that needed be to adressed or talked to for a moment. Finding another person to confide is a tough task as plenty of people don't care about anyone's problems other than their own problems, others can't trust their anything secret to others and some feel no one really gets them or their troubles

The Confidant is The one person that the character can confide in and will listen to other characters' hangups and baggage, and keep it to between them.

Can be anyone from a stranger to even a love interest.

Examples

Connie to Steven Universe: Steven is open about his feelings rather generally, yet Connie is the person he is the most honest about the doubts, insecurities and fears.

Lydia to Lincoln: Lincoln struggles to come forward to his friends or team mates with his problems and often feels like sometimes their problems are dumped on him, Lincoln though can turn to Lydia for emotional reliance and can vent to her. He gets better about this but still has preference to Lydia above the others as his best friend and love interest.
