"The pleasure in complete domination over another person (or other animate creature) is the very essence of the sadistic drive. Another way of formulating the same thought is to say that the aim of sadism is to transform man into a thing, something animate into something inanimate, since by complete and absolute control the living loses one essential quality of life — freedom. The task of carrying out violence, of killing, leads to perversion. The seductiveness of violence, the fascination with the grotesque—the Bible calls it 'the lust of the eye'—the god-like empowerment over other human lives the drag of war combined, like the ecstasy of erotic love, to let our senses command our bodies. Killing unleashing within us dark undercurrents that see us desecrate and whip ourselves into greater orgies or destruction. I do it for my hatred, I kill for hatred of life... Yet, IT'S SO MUCH FUN!" |
"Do you know what love is? A chemical. Electrons in your brain sending signals. Are you familiar with Ophiocordyceps unilateralis? It's a fungus that infects ants. It's amazing, really. The spores take over their central nervous systems and force them to climb to a high point, and then the fungus begins to grow up, bursting from the tops of their heads like a branch. And it kills them, of course. All so it can spray new spores over the jungle, infecting more ants. When people say love, that's what I think of." |
The villains considered in Complete Monsters (villains that are Purely Evil) appeared SOLELY in the storylines of CIS Productions, including LOTM: Sword of Kings, LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow, LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow & Sword of Kings Crossover - The Corbin Files, LOTM: A Draw of Kings, LOTM: Star Spangled Crown, LOTM: Shadows Within Shadows LOTM: The Phoenix on the Sword, LOTM: Los Reina de Corazónes and LOTM: Destiny.
The Complete Monster is the worst of all villains that dear to appear in the stories of CIS Productions, they are a villain who is pure evil. And for this kind of villain, doing evil for them is as natural as breathing. They can be recognized by these signs:
- They commit acts that are atrocious by the standards of the story, and have crossed the Moral Event Horizon Villains who have only crossed the MEH once usually do not qualify, although rare examples such as Aki Honda exist if the line they cross is heinous enough.
- They are taken seriously, causing fear, revulsion, and hatred from other characters in the story. For this reason, villains such as funniest villians can never qualify. However, as long their actions are represented serious they still qualify such as Ara Astaroth.
- They are never presented in a positive way. Even if they are tyrants or messiah such as Darth Hades or Leohart the Prince of Hell, whom are claimed and praised by their minions as their "salviors", they are actually two selfish men who care little about the lives of their people and are willing to sacrifice millions to achieve their goals.
- They can never feel love for others. If they claim to have love for anyone, that "love" would merely be either perversion, possessiveness, or obsession. In such stories, the villains are well-written and can still feel emotions. To become a monster, the villain has to discard their emotions and love for other people to fulfill their agenda (such as Phyllis Peach and Sequined Sadist), showing they clearly care more about themselves and not about friendship, family and loved ones.
- Nothing justifies their crimes, and they cannot feel empathy for others and never redeem themselves. Even if the villains have a tragic background that resulted in their downfall to villainy, if their actions goes beyond their tragic past (such as Eckidina KnightWalker who was sexually and physically abused by her father, Juria KnightWalker, but in the future becomes a psychotic warmonger who plunged the world in a new world war, Moloch who was once a handsome Angel but noticed God's ways to rule the Multi-Universe was flaw and tried to fix the existence to a peaceful reality by joining Lucifer in his rebellion but it resulted in his expulsion of Paradise and Vira Hermes who became an insane psychopath after discovering her sister, Katarina Couteau died on the past because of her), they can qualify.
Anti-Villains (such as Oriax Wheelahr, Carl Robinson and Sayaka Kirasaka) can never qualify seeing as to how you are meant to sympathize with an anti-villain, even if you do not approve of their methods. Also, just being a obviously evil character such as a Serial Killer (a famous example: Sonia Nevermind, the brutal Jack the Ripper of 21st Century with a total of 100+ grotesque and brutal body counts) doesn't automatically make the villain a Complete Monster unless they are particularly brutal to the story's heinous standard.
The Complete Monster in the CIS' stories are the worst kind of villain imaginable, so much they are feared by almost all cast of the story. This kind of villain commits a series of horrendous acts, generally with no justification, no matter their intentions. They are so evil, other characters and even other villains fully fear, hate or despise them from the bottom of their hearts, even some of their allies, if they have any. These characters feel no pity or remorse for what they did, and sometimes even enjoy doing evil things (they can be also Knight Templar and believe what they are doing is right as long they don't let emotions such as remorse and moral codes from preventing them from committing evil acts. Kaitlyn Powell, for example, desired the supremacy of the Magicians over the humankind for deeming humans as a sinful race that brought nothing but destruction and war to the world, even so she was not above killing her own allies, sending them in suicidal missions and even killing her own child soldiers for being weaklings), but they may feel nothing at all, as if doing evil for them is as natural as breathing. The Complete Monster have not a single redeeming quality, and if they have, they can still get rid of it during their arcs, such as The Fallen's Essence who got rid of his love for Scathach and Michael Langdon who disposed of his love for Plaisir Permafrost to achieve the destruction of the Omniverse). They are evil to the point that the end of the stories won't be happy unless they die or disappear forever.
Please note that a character crossing the Moral Event Horizon does not alone make them a Complete Monster. This trope isn't just about what the character does, but about what the character is. Their monstrous characters are reflected in their heinous deeds, which is what puts them a cut above the regular villains. And whatever their position, a Complete Monster has to go the full mile and meet all criteria: they are the worst they can possibly be in their role, in the space and scale they occupy.
NOTE: Users that are not part of CIS Productions are not authorized to add pages to this category without permission, and this is NOT MERELY based on any opinion on either Villains Wiki, the non-OC characters' origin or TV Tropes, but the actions in the CIS stories where they appeared really qualified.
