Captain Falcon (キャプテン・ファルコン Kyaputen Farukon?), also known as Douglas Jay Falcon, is an F-Zero racer and a renowned intergalactic bounty hunter from Port Town. As a bounty hunter, he is responsible for capturing the Galactic Federation’s most wanted criminals. By the age of 36, Captain Falcon had built a reputation as one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy, one that has earned him many enemies. Falcon joined F-Zero, desiring to fuel his competitive drive, with his own ship, the Blue Falcon. During his long career, he has consistently thwarted the plans of Black Shadow and other evil forces, both on and off the Grand Prix circuits. He also has a clone named Blood Falcon, and has a ship known as the Falcon Flyer.
Much of Falcon's past is shrouded in mystery.

Capt. Falcon was chosen as one of Lisa's candidates for the Ultimate Destiny. When she started an academy instructed by Ly, she noticed she can retrieve him from the future, and realized he has potential as one of her best students, out of 8. Later on, he was chosen as one of the Kanto Gym Leaders to represent Saffron City. When Ash challenged him after solving his futuristic puzzle in Mute City, he used a Spearow and Fearow, and soon gave him the Falcon Badge.
