Buttercup is one of the three Powerpuff Girls. She is black-haired and has green eyes and a green dress. Buttercup, though named last, takes part as the middle child.
Buttercup's name isn't based on any personality; she was just named that for it starting with a "B" just like her sisters, Blossom and Bubbles, which is, in fact, the cause of her sour personality. Her personality ingredient is "spice," and she is very tough. However, in "Cover Up," she shows a softer side.
Ultimate Story[]
Buttercup was part of the story from the very beginning. When she and her sisters, Bubbles and Blossom, first met Lisa Simpson, they became like sisters.
Buttercup can be tough as nails and is not very friendly. She tends to have a very hard time making friends and doesn't develop bonds very often. She tends to be at odds with others who are just as stubborn and thick-headed as her, such as Ash Ketchum, to which she developed a relationship similar to that of siblings that are always bickering. She does get along well with Brock and, after one incident, she never made any strides to make fun of his squinty eyes when they first met. She's also very close friends with Falco Lombardi and Clover, however, the latter doesn't like the former very much.
In Ultimate Story 2, her new look consists of a pair of pants, a tank top of the matching color, black sneakers and a dark green cap. She spent most of US2: Dinosaur Planet sobbing, which she had been doing since Falco's absence but stopped after he returned.
Throughout the story and sometime before, she would struggle with schoolwork as she doesn't really feel like studying or doing well on tests. Prof. Utonium struggled constantly to get her to even put forth the effort with her schoolwork. When Falco returned to the Starfox team, Prof. Utonium thought that Falco would actually be able to help her as she looked up to him, but even he struggled constantly to get her to improve her grades. Since then, Falco has tried the bad cop routine constantly on her, which surprisingly, did very little to help.

Anglesmith Origins[]
Buttercup appears at the start with the others as they are just recently settling it from Brick and Butch's Death. Unlike the others, she respects that Bender decided to go down to Mexico for his own swashbuckling adventures. Buttercup wants to join Bender down there but Blossom stops her as they have to go to school, which she complains about. Buttercup tells Bender that when he gets back, to get her some stuff down there.
The Team all welcome Bender back to their place and ask him certain questions, but don't ask him about his quest as they didn't know he did so.
Multiversal Noir[]
Prologue[]
Dib, Bubbles,Blossom, Nina, Bender, Dexter ,Buttecup, Milo, Dexter, Edd and Darkwing are all having their breakfast getting ready for the day. With the exception of Bender, all of them are feeling the same hibernation sickness Boomer has. Boomer shows up and asks if they heard from Lizbeth.
Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, Dexter and Darkwing all offer to help Boomer find Lizbeth for him as they know how much she means to him. Edd asks about the time this event happened to Dexter.
Boomer thanks Blossom and decides there is one approach that ben taken and that is investigate the multiverse and where Lizbeth took her trip which he discussed with Bender and everyone agrees to do.
Bender, however wants to his own investgiation which Bubbles questions him on this as does Buttercup and Milo. Bender explains to the three, that he has a guy who can do the job Mutliversal Private Detective Titantius Anglesmith.
Darkwing, Starfire, Heloise and Skipper wonder why Lizbeth went there and Dib states that she went with the V Crusaders to explore London. Buttercup feels that was a odd place for Liz to go towards.
Chapter 1[]
Joining her sisters in London in regards to their investigation, Buttercup goes with Blossom and Dexter to find Alucard who they decide to see the V Crusaders.
Alucard gives Buttercup, Dexter and Blossom info in regards to the events that happened regarding Xerek and The V Crusaders plus Maka and Hunson. Buttercup is upset at this as she wanted to go pounding bad guy butt in London like they all did. Alucard states that it would have been nice to have her help, and agrees to have her on contact the next time they need it.
Alucard mentions Blissina to Buttercup and Blossom that he became aware of her with the others and she was aware of the events that happened despite her hibernation sickness that Blossom mentioned. She learns of Ciel and Lizbeth both being missing and that the event that happened and at the hands of Toffee as well as everyone being turned into petrifying state or basically being driven crazy or other things.
Armed with this info, Buttercup hands it to Dib, Bubbles and Boomer for them to use.
Chapter 2[]
Buttercup goes with Edd and Darkwing Duck but unlike wants to fight some Soul Eaters for fun as she was looking for some action. Afte Edd and Darkwing join Buttercup after this after they couldn't find Black Star or Kid and that they're helping Slade contain a seige under his empire.
Bubbles is taken aside by Blossom and Buttercup and they discuss Blossom's phone call she recieved from Bliss. Bubbles is curioius why Bliss called them and Blossom tells her that she wanted to check up on them and that she may have knowledge for them regarding their findings which she reveals had something to do with their lizard lawyer also being a monster general and was a disney supermacist.
With this knowledge the girls as well as Bender on contact convince Boomer to see Bliss as she does have some info about the event that happened and that they should see her before Hunson.
Chapter 3[]
Buttercup is brought with Skipper, Heloise and Starfire to investigate The Blot despite their intial hesitance about it. Buttercup is not pleased to see the Blot and questions Phantom Blot on their friends's diappearance, which Blot states he really doesn't know who Lizbeth is and he won't talk. Buttercup decides to go full beatdown on Blot so Heloise can get more words on him and Darkwing and Edd decide to let this.
Buttercup having beating up Phantom Blot for a hour decides to take it easy and The Blot tells Buttercup that her sister Bliss didn't have much fight in her as Buttercup which Darkwing refrains her from trying to killing Phantom Blot and asks about his knowledge on her. Blot reveals that she was a victim of the event of the Cult under Toffee and got lucky that she wasn't dead
Buttercup and Darkwing talk it over and she calmly talks about what the event was and The Blot states it was a powerplay for Disney to take over and take out undesirables according to Toffee which Darkwing takes offense to.
Chapter 4[]
Upon Arriving in the Nightosphere, Buttercup joins her sister, Dib, Boomer, Nina and Dexter to get their info from Hunson Abadeer about the London Attack and Xerek
She is more suspicous than her friends about Hunson's words as she thinks he is trying to maplutlate them into doing something for him like he's done before. Hunson reassures her that he is not out to screw with them this time, he just wants to find Lizbeth just like them. She is baffled why Hunson would care as she's his nemesis, and yet they spend quality time together like this vacation. Hunson explains the concept of being off clock and that's everything he does with her on a friendly basis is him being off the clock as he was using the trip as an excuse for business
Buttercup asks about the Phantom Blot to him and Hunson explains that he is not afillated with him or at least formely. Buttercup tells him the Blot did know something about the event and was working with the cult that did so. Hunson states that he was working for Toffee and Bill Cipher to do and that he was investigating them himself after getting over his hibernation sickness.
While not completely trusting him, Buttercup is at least a little convinced he is telling the truth. As the rest of the team gets their info straight and a reveal location is found, They storm off to find Lizbeth and Ciel at what The V Crusaders and Hunson found.
Chapter 5[]
The Group arrives in London and Boomer speeding ahead to find Lizbeth. Buttercup decides to wait for Bender and The V Crusaders to come around. When the others do make their entrance, Buttercup decides to head off saying that last one there is a rotten egg.
Her cockiness turns to shock when it turns out that all that was found was some small bits of clothing of the two heroines. Bubbles doesn't understand how this could happen and thought the good guys always win. Buttercup states that she is too native and that the world isn't always that sweet and that the world is tough and not fair, though she is trying her hardest to convince herself of this.
However upon their arrival, Bubbles and the others find just Ciel and Lizbeth's clothes and this caues Bubbles grief as she doesn't how to take the lost of her friend. She doesn't understand considering that they're the good guys and that they should win which Buttercup calls her out for being overly optimsitc.
Buttercup becomes upset upon learning of Batman being murdered and swears revenge after the griefing process, though she is imprisoned with the rest of M.O.D.A.B in Townsvile by Smoking Man using an quarrintine. She is however saved by her sister Bliss and Dib's Father Professor Membrane, after as they escape, Buttercup takes her anger on the invading aliens seeing Mojo and HIM fighting them questioning why the two are actually trying to protect Townsvile as they escape.

Chapter 3: Solider Boy's Final Stand[]
Dib, Bubbles, Milo, Blossom, Buttercup, Darkwing Duck, Edd, Nina Cortex, Boomer, Skipper, Starfire, Heloise and Dexter are all sucked up into the future. The 3 girls manage to take out another monster/villain when this happened and they all go looking for where they are. Dexter, Blossom and Heloise figure out they're out in the future. They nearly get attacked by some soldiers so they can go to the next house which ends up Chloe's. As it's summer Chloe decides to help out and explain the situation.
Dib, Bubbles, Milo, Blossom, Buttercup, Darkwing Duck, Edd, Nina Cortex, Boomer, Skipper, Starfire, Heloise and Dexter follow Chloe and they meet Commander Mcbragg who decide to help them. They are encountered by Skullface who was trying to have the Commander killed. Dib and the others help deal with Skullface and deal with Payback 2.0, Blossom and the girls take on the super soliders so the others get can help Mcbragg deal with Skullface.
However this get complicated by Sharon Carter and Solider Boy who arrive on the scene and they fight the two to a stalemate. Buttercup despite her tough fighter claims, even she has a hard time dealing with Solider Boy due to his incredible capabilities.
Dib, Bubbles, Milo, Blossom, Buttercup, Darkwing Duck, Edd, Nina Cortex, Boomer, Skipper, Starfire, Heloise and Dexter all get the information they need from what SB is up to. They and Mcbragg work to get away from the Soliders fighting them all at many times. This is until they see Colonel Kit Coyote and Sergant Oakely Homa who work with them to get the heroes though Commander Mcbragg gives up his life for them. As they return, they see Jimmy, Jorgen, Kowalski, Private, Rico, Phineas, Isabella and Marceline who are relieved to see them home and ask what happened with them. They explain in a quick way what really happened with them.

Chapter 1[]
Part 1[]
It is nothing more than a normal day back at the M.O.D.A.B House where everyone is attending to their days and plans. The Powerpuff Girls are once again gearing to head to Pokey Oaks, Skipper and the Penguins are to be doing their commando stufff. Nina, Heloise and Dexter are to be doing science experiments. Gosalyn, Darkwing and Launchpad is prepared to go with Milo to his home to prepare to help little kids while Dib, Boomer and Edd are preparing to go to school as well and make their plans that Lizbeth would have wanted
She questions why is Bender so eager to help Professor Membrane, he says that the two go back and he has some of his own businesses to attend to. Everyone asks him on what, Bender just claims he is claiming a house. She is then seen horsing around at Vought with her sisters and Dib to see Bender who predictably to her went out drinking.

Part 8[]
Buttercup and her sisters are visited by Mojo who mentions what is going on with Dib's dad, wormholes and Slade for input on all this. Buttercup isn't so willing to trust him though Dexter is able to prove he is telling the truth about what he says. Unlike her sisters she doesn't have a date to the event as Blossom and Bubbles have Dexter and Dib to be this for them.
Part 9[]
Buttercup and the other Powerpuff Girls arrive at Tek Manor and she helps Blossom and Dexter which resulting in discovering the truth of their hosts which is then when chaos goes erupt and she fights the supes that are out to get rid of the mortals and any supes against them. She runs into Professor Membrane who aplogizes to her about getting her involved and then Bender who advised her and the girls to just avoid the danger Neuman represents or Tek Knight in this case and let Anglesmith take care of all this.
Book 2: Interlude[]
Buttercup joins the rest of her sisters on going on the cruise the heroes had in mind to serve as Lizbeth's memory as she desired this before the heroes thought she died in that event that had them turned into statues. It all goes well with their locations with her also befriending Captain Grime as well due to their love of combat. She and her sisters are ambushed by Captain Putty, Zib and their forces, though she and her sisters were able to fight a good deal of N.Tropy's forces, they are eventually knocked out cold by N.Tropy's solider Thrull who brings them to Morando's space station prison.
She and Blossom watch as Bubbles is taken with Dib and Boomer for quesitoning and she is intend to beat up whoever hurts her sister but is pepper sprayed by Morando's guards. She, Blossom, Dexter and Darkwing Duck scheme an escape to alert their friends of this until Lizbeth shows up and later does Skipper, Heloise and others where Buttercup discovers some of Bender's own antics and Lizbeth's own ability to surivive. She leads the way to escape upon being freed and gets brutal with N.Tropy's forces.
Rodrigo Redneb makes things hard and despite all 3 girls, Boomer and Dib all working against him, Rodrigo Redneb easily deals with them using his ruthless tatics and sheer power and almosts murder her and her sisters in cold blood until they are aided in their escape by Bender. THe Powerpuff Girls, Bender, Dib and Boomer try to insure the safety of the authority figures and have to watch their elders getting killed by Rodrigo before heading back to the ship
She questions Bender on his real knowledge of going on with everything, and he informs her of what he knows and what he is just as unaware of as them.
Book 3: Culmination[]
Buttercup get heavily involved in the fight with Rodirgo Redneb's forces as a result of him trying to acquire the time code and she watches as Rodrigo Redneb go find it and watch in genuine terror Redneb ram Bender into front of a sub of people, wincing at how brutal Redneb is and she has to be broken out of it by Blossom and Bubbles. Buttercup is given a plan at Deathstroke's behalf to find a way to stop N.Tropy's plans and help him beat his charges which she agrees to.
Buttercup helps fight off N.Tropy's forces who followed suit against them and she learns of what Bender undercovered and confirms she knew it as she watched him get brutalized and was legit terrified watching this. Buttercup only truly recovers after The heroes talk her out of her trance and she gets back into the sheer violence against N.Tropy's forces though having learning some zen, does back off a bit before regrouping with the rest of the team.

Buttercup arrives to assist the Power Rangers Dino Fury and Mark Bearinger in stopping the Bodarks. She appears in her Fusionfall appearence.
Fire Rebellion IV[]
Fusionfall Buttercup will have a much larger role and will assist the other heroes in their fight against Lord Zedd.
