Black Yoshi is a "Cooler and awesome" version of the other Yoshis and was originally going to appear in TROM: BOTSS but did not have time until The P Team Bloopers come and he becomes a major character.
Black Yoshi loves playing Call of Duty and drinks Kool-aid.
