Biowulf is cold and calculating, but he has the utmost loyalty for Van Kleiss. He jealously guards his position as second-in-command and is openly contemptuous to anyone he perceives to threaten it. In cases such as these, he has been willing to deliberately sabotage their reputations with Van Kleiss.
