Billy Cranston is a character from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger: Once and Always, and Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
He is portrayed by David Yost.
Billy is the original Blue Power Ranger and was considered the brains of the group. He is the second longest-serving Power Ranger behind fellow ranger Tommy Oliver.
In Power Rangers Zeo, Billy steps down as a Ranger, but remains an asset to the team as a tech advisor along with Alpha 5. However, he would experience accelerated aging part-way through Zeo, but was cured on Aquitar, in which he decided to remain to be with Cestria, an Aquitian whom he fell in love with. Billy would occasionally reunite with his teammates, during the Legendary Battle and the battle against Goldar's Army and Evox in the Dino Charge Dimension.
Between Zeo and Dino Fury, Billy returns to Earth to form a company: Cranston Technologies, which is based in Angel Grove; its headquarters is designed after the original Command Center. The building has a command center of its own, with an Alpha model robot attending to it (originaly Alpha 8, and later Alpha 9). When Billy tried to resurrect Zordon, he ended up accidentally re-energizing Rita Repulsa's evil essence that was purged from her 24 year prior, which would eventually take over Alpha 8, transforming him into a new body for the evil witch. The ensuing battle that followed would result in the death of fellow Ranger and original Yellow Ranger Trini Kwan. A year after Trini's death, Billy and the other Rangers were joined by Trini's daughter, Minh, who became the new Yellow Ranger in her mother's place. With Minh's help, the Rangers destroy Rita for good and avenge their fallen friend.
Sometime after Rita's death, Billy traveled to the planet Zordnia with Mick Kanic, the mentor of the Ninja Steel Rangers, to locate the Altar of Zordnia. However, the planet would be attacked by Bajillia Naire, Chairwoman of intergalactic weapon manufacturer Squid Ink, Inc, and her fleet of Squidrills, which ended up destroying the crystal holding Lord Zedd captive, freeing the evil emperor. This caught the attention of not only Billy, but also the Dino Fury Rangers. After the Rangers were defeated at Zordnia, with Ollie Akana turned evil from the same poison used on him by Sizzurai more then six months prior but in a higher dose, and with Javi summoning the Cosmic Fury Zords at the cost of his right arm, Billy remained with the Dino Fury Rangers, taking on a mentor role. After the Dinohenge statues were destroyed by Lord Zedd, Billy managed to use Master Red's staff to reconnect the remaining Rangers to the Morphin' Grid, creating a new set of powers for them; new morphers and a new power source: the Cosmic Orbs. From there, Billy takes on a full mentor role.

Billy first appeared when the Power Chamber was attacked by Rabia. After the Power Chamber was destroyed, he was extracted by Carter for medical assistance.
Fire Rebellion: Season 16[]
Billy returns to temporarily fill in Daniel's role as E10 Blue after the latter was seriously injured in battle.
Ranger Key[]
The Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger Key is Billy's personal ranger key. It is among the many ranger keys lining the walls of the Command Center. This key is mainly used by Noah Carver (Super Megaforce Blue) to fight as the Blue Mighty Morphin Power Ranger.
