Bellsprout is a flower-like Pokemon. It is a dual Grass/Poison type. Bellsprout starts out as a small Pokemon but grows as it evolves. It evolves in to a Weepinbell and then to a Victreebel.
Bellsprout's thin and flexible body lets it bend and sway to avoid any attack, however strong it may be. From its mouth, this Pokémon spits a corrosive fluid that melts even iron. This was shown with in the Indigo League where Bellsprout used nimbly to defeat Ash's Bulbasaur and Pikachu before falling to Ash's Muk.
Its name is a combo of bell, its bell-like head, and sprout.
Its Japanese name, マダツボミ Madatsubom, can be read as still a flower bud.
Ultimate Story[]
Daisy owns a Bellsprout. Her love for flowers made Bellsprout one of her most beloved Pokemon. It's also a great fighter, just as she had trained it to be.
Mario also owns a Bellsprout.
