Beatrice isn't one of the characters there, though she has been mentioned by Dante as he encouraged Gavin he and his friends must find Ichabod's damned soul as they venture thru the Nine Rings of Hell, just like he did with Beatrice. According to legend, her spirit was corrupted by swallowing the Seeds of Doubt, and then she was saved by Dante as he held out the Holy Cross, a gift from her. She descended into Heaven, and while Jenny lifted Katrina and Benedict, it purified Ichabod's soul, cured the deal and the pentagram.
