Battra (バトラ Batora) is a dark divine moth kaiju who first appeared in the 1992 Toho Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Mothra.
Description[]
Tens of thousands of years ago, Battra was sealed by Mothra due to their conflict. Battra was created to protect the balance peace of the earth, but he doesn't care about human safety. In the present, Battra is released from his seal, and now appears in his larva form and confronts Godzilla. Godzilla and Battra fought fiercely under a sea volcano, but both survived the disaster at sea. Battra then becomes an imago, and fights Mothra, both of whom are knocked out by Godzilla's atomic breath. Knowing this, Battra and Mothra plan to go hand in hand against Godzilla, and both succeed despite Battra lives must have be to sacrifice.
However, turns out, the asteroid who come to earth, it is same like like Battra birthed on Earth. If these true, Battra would reborn once again as his spiky egg stage.
Personality[]
Unlike Mothra, Battra rather cruel, intimidation, and temperamental. He did not hesitate to use attacks to warn humans, for not to interfere in his affairs. Despite these, Battra redeem himself in the end, and recognized his error.
Abilities[]
- Burrow : In his larvae form, Battra can easly burrow in the deep of soil.
- Swimming : In his larvae form, Battra can easly swimming through the ocean.
- Laser horn : In his larvae form, Battra armed by its large horns, which allow it to unleash laser attacks.
- Super speed : In his imago form, Battra can flight in super speed.
- Prism beam : In his imago form, Battra can used beam from three small horns on his head.
- Purple laser beam : Battra special attacks, launching a purple beam laser from his both eyes.
- Powder : In his imago stage, Battra can create a powder from his body, combined with Mothra powder, the effects made his enemy numb in pain.
