Basculin (Japanese: バスラオ Bassrao) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V.
While it is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon, it does have two different appearances: Red-Striped Form, which has a red stripe and irises, with a round eye and spiky fins; and Blue-Striped Form, which has a blue stripe and irises, with a slit eye and smooth fins.
In the Hisui region, there is a third one which was discovered called White-Striped Form, this is the only form of Basculin who is capable of evolving, it evolves into Basculegion after losing at least 294 HP from recoil damage, not counting damage that results in it fainting.
Ultimate Story[]
Both Mario and Luigi own a Basculin. Mario's Basculin has red stripes and Luigi's Basculin has blue stripes.
