Bang Shishigami is one of the protagonists of the BlazBlue game series and is known as the Hero of Ronin-Gai.
Bang was once a prominent ninja in the City of Ikaruga until the dreaded Ikaruga War which has destroyed Ikaruga and Bang's Master Tenjo was killed. However, in the present BlazBlue story, Bang is the leader of a group of Ninja whom protect his home, Ronin-Gai.
Bang is a highly idealistic man whom well is quite often called an idiot. However, Bang is more intelligent than he seems and he is one of the kinder and more heroic characters in the series.
While he has tried to attack the likes of Noel and Jin before, he is in peaceful terms with the former and tries to be in peaceful terms with the latter. Bang is also known for trying to be the Mentor figure of younger characters such as Taokaka and Carl Clover, and has a major unrequited crush on Litchi Faye Ling...though over the course of the game series, at least she is on friendly terms with him.
