Azumarill is an aquatic Pokemon from the Johto region and the evolved form of Marill. It was discovered in Generation III is the final evolved form of Azurill.
It was once a pure Water type until Generation VI when it was discovered that it is actually a dual Water/Fairy type.
Azumarill's long ears are indispensable sensors. By focusing its hearing, this Pokémon can identify what kinds of prey are around, even in rough and fast-running rivers.
Azumarill can make balloons out of air. It makes these air balloons if it spots a drowning Pokémon. The air balloons enable the Pokémon in trouble to breathe.
Its name is a combination of azure, which is a shade of blue or azul, which is Spanish and Portuguese for blue, Marill, and possibly rill, a small river or brook.
Ultimate Story[]
Peppy owns an Azumarill. It is one of the few Pokemon that he would use during his and his friends' underwater adventures with the Ocean Princess.
