Ayase Aragaki is the friend of Kirino in Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wakke ga Nai (Oreimo for short). She is also a model like her friend Kirino. Ayase is a very good friend to Kirino and cherishes her relations with Kirino however she can be jealous and would not stand if Kirino likes someone or something more than their friendship with each other. Ayase caught Kirino one day in Akihara and discovered her friend's secret of being an otaku. She despises otaku because of otakus are often put in a negative light in the news and that she thinks that Kirino values her hobbies more than her. She warned her not to talk to her again however she still values their friendship with Kirino and even ask Kyousuke to help her make up with Kirino. Ayase eventually make up with Kirino but Ayase still is not able to accept or understand her hobbies.
