Ashton Anchors is an honest, modest, and timid swordsman. He has lived a generally unlucky life. He is a bit of a goof, but always lovable. His personality always places him squarely in the "friend zone" with respect to relationships with women. He also has an odd obsession with barrels and jugs.
An incident caused a two-headed dragon to merge with his body. The two dragon heads (named Gyoro and Ururun by Rena) communicate via growls and hisses, which Ashton can understand and translate for others.
He is a character from Star Ocean: The Second Story and its remake, Star Ocean: Second Evolution, who is later one of the main characters of Star Ocean: Blue Sphere.
Powers[]
- Twin Stab - Ashton uses both of his swords to stab an enemy.
- Cross Slash - Another two-hit move, Ashton uses a downward slash and sails forward in a weird flying-type move.
- Leaf Slash - Ashton creates a whirlwind of leaves around an enemy and then pops up in the center, hitting the foe.
- Northern Cross - Ashton creates flying shards of ice and hurls them at the opponent.
- Piercing Swords - Ashton throws swords in a straight line ahead of him.
- Hurricane Slash - Ashton hits the enemy with his swords and then creates a hurricane that can lift the enemy into the air.
- Dead Triangle - Ashton surrounds the enemy by splitting into three. The foe gets trapped and blasted with a burst of energy.
- Dragon Breath - not to be confused with the Pokemon move, Gyoro and Ururun grow huge and breathe fire (Gyoro) and ice (Ururun).
- Sword Dance - a very powerful attack in which Ashton moves his swords around quickly, striking a foe multiple times
- Tri-Ace - ("Oh, the all-mighty Tria...over throw all the enemies!") creates a huge blade that sweeps over the battlefield and hits every enemy
