Amatsu is known by a few aliases, god of evil, a master trickster, the chaos king, and the personification of evil, Mikaboshi's time as a god dates back before the beginning of the universe. Having went into hiding from being outnumbered by the sky-father Olympian gods of the Marvel Universe, Amatsu-Mikaboshi had finally found refuge when Ares (God of War) approached him, finding him a rather interesting character and from the looks of it can tell he is a very evil entity. Ares asks if Amatsu wants to join his band of gods to rid the Multi-Universe of everything that stands in their way. Since Amatsu has nowhere else to go, he joins Ares' group albeit reluctantly since he has no idea what the god of war plans for him and waits patiently to see how the commencing of his actions unfold. While Amatsu-Mikaboshi isn't the strongest member of Ares group, he makes up for it with his evil genius by trickery through illusions, stealth, magic, deception, shape shift into disguises to make surprise kills on his enemy, and send his dark energy to corrupt enemies into becoming his mind-controlled slaves. Since Amatsu-Mikaboshi prefers sneaky underhanded tactics and attrition, rather than getting physical with his opponent, he was given the rank of Seventh in Command by Ares.
